Disgruntled Janeway fans: try a carrot

Well, look, I know this has gone on like forever, but...

There hasn't been much name-calling that I can remember - and since this is the Internet, how rare is that? Really rare, that's what.

There have been numerous misunderstandings, of course, and taking comments out of context, and all those things that flesh is heir to when flesh is trying to win an unwinnable (by either side) argument, but all in all, it's been a fairly civil conversation. In fact, numerous folks have, I'd say, gone to some effort to try to keep it civil.

And of course, anybody who's bored with it just doesn't have to read it any more. So if I get a vote, and I don't (why should I, after all?), I think it should go on as long as people are interested and stay fairly civil, and so long as it doesn't exceed whatever standard length the moderators abide by. I'm not saying I'm going to read every word, mind you, but those who want to ought to be able to. IMO.

I can't help but notice that it was not a "How could they kill JANEWAY?!" person who started this thread. It was somebody...challenging that attitude - I think that's a fair way to put it. Just sayin'!

I remember when people on a Peter David listserv were trying to second-guess what PAD had up his sleeve to reveal about Mark McHenry and his weird powers. Was he secretly a Q, etc. Someone outright declared "I think Mark is an El-Aurian!", and PAD teased, "Thanks a lot, now I have to change my plans...", and Mark ended up as the

So can I be pissed that Neelix was left out of the VoyR books or do I just have to be pissed cause Janeway is dead and never coming back to life? At ;east with Janeway we know she's dead and that's why we won't get her story told. But to have Neelix removed because the author could not figure out how to write for him is even worse.

Just because something is old and you think everyone should know all about it, not using the spoiler code is a bad idea. What if I didn't know about your spoilers? You'd have spoiled things for me. Especially Sixth Sense as that is the one thing that if you know in advance, the entire movie is ruined. So please, just use spoiler codes and be done with it.

Nope, sorry but you're not allowed to be pissed. If the Pocket writers left Neelix out of the series it's all for the best and you should just be grateful you get any Voyager books to begin with oh and be sure to purchase multiple copies when they're released.
