NBC plans to bring Heroes back for a fourth season

I dunno, she mentioned international revenues as a factor in the renewal and that's something we hardly hear anything about - just how big a factor is it, anyway? Is Chuck doing well internationally?

I don't know. It's one of the top shows on ITunes and Hulu though. And it gets more or less the same ratings Heroes does, but Chuck's spot is a killer though. Heroes does slightly better in the demos though.

I found this on the IMDB FAQ section for 'Heroes' about Caitlin:

'Caitlin was left in the future, and they will never mention her again, according to Tim Kring. Due to the writers strike, they scrapped the idea of getting her back.'

Well, I guess that settles that...

Yeah, that right there proves what a bunch of hacks they are. It makes Peter look like a horrible person for just forgetting about her.

^ But Fox has reported they are counting both of those in their decisions to cancel or continue shows. It was what saved Sarah Connor last season and the producers admitted this.

T:SCC is also a champ in product placements.

Funny how the numbers don't back them up. But if they want to make decisions irrationally, that's their perogative.

There are too many shows that do well in downloads but get cancelled for me to trust downloads as a savior. Jericho and Journeyman for starters.

Just put it out of its misery. The show runners and the writers do not have a clue, its a good concept with a good set of actors - but the story stinks to high heaven, its simply laughable.

I'm glad Caitlin has been completely forgotten by the writers. Do you remember how dumb the Irish storyline was in season 2?

I think it's foolish and shortsighted for those who have stuck with the show for this long to give up on it before Bryan Fuller has a real chance to do anything with it. Personally, I call this "good news". :techman:

Yeah, but it's terrible writing to just leave the storyline hanging because they decided they didn't like it anymore.

They could have settled the Caitlin issue with very little effort. Peter calls her family in Ireland to apologize for her being "missing" on his account. Caitlin answers the phone and it becomes clear she has no idea who Peter is. Somehow the timestream has been reset, wiping out the whole Peter-in-Ireland sojourn (except that he remembers it, and is now off the hook for everything). No great loss and time travel on this show makes no sense, so the rules can be whatever. ;)

I gave up after a dozen episodes, and then watched a few episodes of the second season with my ex. And I'm pretty sure I can tune in and not have missed anything from what I've heard...

I just keep watching it for the lulz...if you dont take it seriously its just moronic fun. But it is sad when you think of how great it was in its first season...

Exactly. The producers of The Sarah Conner Chronicles did the same thing with a S1 plot regarding the school that John and Cameron were attending. It wasn't a plot I particularly cared for, but to just drop it...?

I like the way Temis would have resolved the Caitlin plot.

Or they could have addressed it in one of the online comics, which remain much higher quality than the series proper.

Was there any question as to whether it would come back? It may be terrible, and from everything I've heard it is but I can't say for sure, but NBC has nada. No way they'd cancel this show.

They can bring it back, but I won't be watching. The decline in quality on Heroes is unlike anything I've ever seen before on television - after a nearly perfect first season, the show has descended into utter crap. And even worse, boring crap.

This man speaks the truth.

Very sad turn of events. Such promise.

Joe, sad

I quit watching around episode 6/7 of this season.
It got horrid, not mediocore, horrid.

Let those who want to cling to its lameness like TSCC enjoy it cause its got nothing to entice me back for at all.

They also have The Office which I believe has ratings as good as if not better then Heroes.

QFT. It's Script Writing 101 stuff.
