Are you excited?? I am :-) I have been forgoing other movies just so I have enough money to see this film when it comes out. I have been reading many titles of threads here but am ignoring them because I want to be surprised when I see this film :) It has been 19 years since we last saw James T. Kirk & Crew on the silverscreen (in a variation of sorts)!

As mentioned before, this idea was tossed around back in '89. Due to technilogical advances in producing movies the past twenty years, are you glad this type of Star Trek film is made now or do you think it would of been just as good back then?

Anyways, two more months!! :techman:

You've been ignoring other movies, just so you could save up a few dollars to see Star Trek? How much does the cinema cost in your area??

The price of the movie isn't so much the problem, it's my bills. Most of what I earn goes to that, so when I usually go see a film, I go to my local dollar cinema and watch them that way. I work as a retail clerk, so I'm just making enough to get bills paid. That's why ;)

I am very excited to see this film. Right now life is kicking my rear end, and so I'm keeping my eyes on the prize, that no matter how bad things get, I will still go see this movie on May 8th, and if nothing else, will be able to submerge myself in a world I love for 2 hours before heading back into the drudgery and pain that is my life. So yes, yes, yes, I am VERY excited to see this film!

Yes, I'm really looking forward to it. Should be one of this year's highlights. I really hope it doesn't let us down after all this waiting.

I have no doubt the film will be awesome, but I still worry about how the mainstream will react to it. It really needs to be a big success. Of all people to make the crossover, though, I think JJ's the guy that can do it.

So, like, what's with the zeroes in your name?

Wow. I've been a member for 6 years here and I now get this question. It's what I call myself here. Why are you called The Wormhole?
Maybe it has something to do with ''his'' wormhole?:shifty: And yes I can not STAND! waiting for this movie:brickwall: I need it now people! I just keep telling myself two more months to go...just two more months to go.

Very excited! I'm broke as hell, but this is one film this year that I'm willing to put aside ten bucks for a ticket.

I just watched the new trailer.

I'd like to change my statement from "very excited" to "I'm building a statue of J.J. in his honor". Um, yeah.

I'll ''Build a statue in j.j.s honor'' to! After I see the movie, AND if it dosen't suck! As much as I love the trailer,it's just that..the trailer. Not the movie! I have been burned one too many times by ''AWSOME'' trailers and then getting crappy movies ( I'm looking at you George Lucas:klingon:)

Well, for me, the trailer has earned a statue regardless of the movie's success or failure. That has to be one of the most (if you'll pardon the expression) boner inducing trailers I have yet seen as a Trek fan.

Hang in there J. I tell myself this when things start to suck..."It could be worse, I could be dead." Than I feel a little better.

But yeah I agree. A trek movie is just what we need right now. Even if its not a great film, it will be nice seeing some new Trek again.:techman:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is broke, then :) It sucks not being able to see every movie you want.

Yeah it does suck not getting to see the films you want at the cinema. In the UK I pay a monthly direct debit of about £10 a month that lets me see as many films as I want at the local Cineworld multiplex. Unfortunately though all my mates tend to go the cinema when I'm in work so I've only been twice all year and on the second visit I had to leave about 5 minutes into the film as I'd come down with a bug of some sort and became violently ill! Hopefully we'll all get to see Star Trek on the big screen!!
