I believe it is the right time for another poll.

Months have passed.
We've heard the cast, the writers and the director talk, we've seen lots of trailers and ads, we've seen pictures and screenshots, we've seen the tie in comic books...

So what will you do when May comes ?

I will definitely be there. Some concerns I may have are not enough to keep me away.

Not a concern. The perfect crew put this together and it looks
every bit of epic as I hoped it would. Can't wait for May 8th.

Nope. I won't be seeing it. I'll read about it and if I read that they actually do something to make it Star Trek then I'll go see it. But from 99.5 percent of what i seen it won't be Star Trek. I have no intention of supporting it.

I'll be there. Lots of minor concerns, no serious ones. I'm sure it'll be an entertaining flick, whether it can elevate itself above that remains to be seen.

Serious concerns?
About a Star Trek movie?
Well, serious concerns as far as movies are...concerned.

We are not comparing concerns over hunger in Africa or the economic depression with Trek concerns. ;)

Economic depression a serious concern? Clearly you haven't contemplated the heat death of the universe.

Srs Business: Srsly Relative.

:p Screw the universe. We can always time jump to another one

I'd have to be damn crazy to not want to see it now! Whee! Star Trek!

Oh wait, the phaser design isn't good enough. Grump grump grump.

Yes, it'll be interesting to see if the percentages have moved now that so much more of the movie has been seen. :)

Well, the interior design of the Enterprise leaves something to be desired, too.

Although the more I see of Apple stores the more obviously blind and stupid comparisons of the JJPrise bridge to them are. I can see comparing some of the design motifs to some actual Apple products, mind you - but the stores are an entirely different matter. They and the ship share some bullet lighting and little else.

You know, after all this time I still have no idea what an Apple store looks like

Oh, imagine a big IKEA-furnished space with a lot of bullet lighting on the product. Here:

Notably, they're all "right angle" design and devoid of the sort of molded curves and plastic surfaces characteristic of the JJPrise bridge. They just have a lot of lights - as do many retail establishments - so some people draw nonsense comparisons.

Maybe it's the transparencies on some of the store walls?

That's the infamous Apple store look ? Wow... :wtf:

All this time they've been comparing it with the Enterprise I was expecting something... kewler :p, futuristic, curvy.
That looks like any other cheaply furnished store

I'll be there on opening night.

My ONLY concern is that I've been spoiled too much by the trailers.

I'm gonna see it but I still think it could suck... if that's what "serious concerns" means...
