What if Dr. Sam Beckett quantum leaped into

Aquehonga

Fleet Captain
Captain Jonathan Archer? During the “Carpenter Street” episode would be the most plausible scenario.

Scott Bakula? Preferably on the set of “Quantum Leap”. How appropriate.

B&B?

Michael Bay?

A G1 Transformer? And I don't mean toys! You know what I mean.

A Changeling. Odo in “Little Green Men”?

Khan Noonian Singh?

Kirk, Spock or McCoy? During one of their 3 visits to late 20th Century Earth.

Tuvok, Tom Paris or another V'GER crewmember? During V'GER's visit to 1996 California.

Captain Sisko? During “Past Tense”.

Henry Hill?

Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson or Clark Kent?

Magneto or Peter Parker?

Sam Oliver or NYPD Officer Zeke Stone?

Hack ham actor Guy Woodhouse or Mrs. Baylock?

Schwarzenegger's character in PREDATOR or Glover's character in PREDATOR 2? While they're battling the Preds of course.

Jeff Bridges' character in “TRON”?

Any one of the grating irritating Mr. Goodbars Robin Williams has played? “Sam! Ziggy says you must cause this guy's death!”

George Costanza or Kramer?

Tommy Westphall?

ME?

YOU?

Preferably while we're on TrekBBS!

^Many of these are impossible since Beckett was only able to leap in to people within his own lifetime.

^That was some silly aberration due to the guy he leapt in to being a distant relative or something, wasn't it ?

I may be wrong, but almost all of those possibilities would work under the normal rules of Sam's Leaps.

The OP stated that the future characters were in the 20th century for their "intersections"

Sisko might be a stretch, but Sam could leap ahead up until the date of his death, which was never mentioned.

I remember reading a fan-fic, in which Sam Beckett quantum leaped into Jonathan Archer. There are probably a lot of those...

Sounds really cool. Are there any in which Sam leaps into Scott Bakula?

Imagine Sam leaping into Count Bakula on the QL set?

Im waiting for the one where ge leaps into the future but cannot leap so designs a set of human like robots who look like people who worked on his project. He called them cylons..... :):) Fanwanktastic.

Theres a good reason who noone has offered me money to write sci-fi. This post is one.

Sam could leap ahead up until the date of his death, which was never mentioned.

Also, there was one version of the final episode of the show that had this scene:

Sam leaps into the far future and ends up as a pilot in a bar in deep space

Also, Bakula did once joke around that Jonathan Archer's middle name is Beckett. FWIW. ;)

It could be argued that the day Sam first stepped into the accelerator was the day he died, and that's why he couldn't leap back home (without swappin' places with Al) - he was limited by the date of his death.

Beckett's leap lasts for quite a while and he fumbles through both the defeat of the Xindi and the end of the Temporal Cold War with his unique brand of competent pacifism. When the Augment arc comes around, due to his lack of anti-Augment racism, he is able to broker peace. The Augments get their own planet, Archer is hailed a hero (again) and the Federation softens it's stance on genetic engineering. And Sam leaps out.

Scott Bakula? Preferably on the set of “Quantum Leap”. How appropriate.
The resulting Infinite Bakula Recursion causes the universe to collapse into a singularity due to infinite mass of an infinite number of Bakulas..

Michael Bay?
He leaps out once he has ensurred that the Dinobots are in Transformers 2.

A G1 Transformer? And I don't mean toys! You know what I mean.
Since Sam doesn't trade bodies, just appearance, he gets squished and dies.

A Changeling. Odo in “Little Green Men”?
Again, Sam's not really a changeling. So he's screwed.

Khan Noonian Singh?
Wrath of Khan never happen - Earth is destroyed by the whale probe and the Genesis device is used to devestating effect in a war with the Klingons.

Kirk, Spock or McCoy? During one of their 3 visits to late 20th Century Earth.
It's alright for him to impregnate a green space babe because he can't remember that he's married.

Tuvok, Tom Paris or another V'GER crewmember? During V'GER's visit to 1996 California.
Voyager remains in the Delta Quadrent, putting right what once when wrong, and never makes it home.

George Costanza or Kramer?
Susan lives. She and George are married for 32 years and have five children before George breaks down, admits that he's miserable, and demands a divorce. Susan then admits that she too has been miserable, but has been waiting for him to admit it first so that she could use it against him.

Tommy Westphall?
Quantum Leap is just a daydream.

^Good point.

I don't ascribe to that particular theory myself, but it's perfectly valid.
I just think the idea of future leaps would've been interesting. No intel, no way to know how things would play out...

But, if he's dead, how is Al communicating with him? What about when he got back to Donna?

I was seriously bummed when this show was canceled (at its peak) and that the continuation movie never made the light of day.

I was never a fanfic fan, but I do remember being intrigued when I ran across a copy of (and I think I still have it somewhere) "Quantum Beast" where Sam leaps into Vincent from "Beauty and the Beast".

Wow, that brings back memories - fanfic that was actually printed out and sold at conventions!

Well it made me laugh.:techman:

Sam leaps into a visiting Quinn Mallory. And it just so happens that Sam is a double of Maggie Beckett's Uncle Sam!
