The cast of TNG reunites for the Family Guy

Wow, this is awesome. I've lost interest in Family Guy a long time ago, but I'll tune in for this. Hopefully this will be Family Guy's "Where No Fan Has Gone Before."

I doubt it will be a low blow towards Star Trek fans and the old TNG cast, remember that Seth MacFarlane has starred and I believe even directed an episode of ENT (Although I'm not 100% about him directing an epside, but I know he definetly had a guest star in 2 episodes), and also Patrick Stewart is a recurring guest on American Dad, also created by MacFarlane.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Yeah, Seth MacFarlane is a huge Star Trek fan (not sure if he's more into Trek or Star Wars, though). Any sort of jokes directed at the fans will be more self-referential and self-deprecating than anything else.

One of my favorite Family Guy cutaways is the one where Stewie loses Rupert, and then it cuts away to a Wrath of Khan parody where Stewie is Kirk speaking at Rupert's (Spock's) funeral before launching his casket into the Genesis planet.

He was never a director of an episode, but he appeared as an engineer on the Enterprise in one episode and later as a transfer to the Columbia in Season Four.

He also did a couple episodes of The Gilmore Girls. Now THAT was a weird notice...because by the time I saw the episode I was well familiar with what Brian sounds like, so it was a little odd.

Oh man, that had me laughing so hard :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I stopped watching FG regularly a couple years ago. But to its credit whenever I do catch it these days I chuckle a little.

Naturally a TNG episode is can't miss. It'll have to be pretty awesome to top "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" though.

"Oh, boy! This is even going to be more fun than the time I accidentally poured hot coffee on George Takei at a Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas!"

*Roll Video*

I wonder what the plot is going to be, one of the more famous episodes like BoBW?

that was very good

that is excellent no quesiton, but it does have the advantage of being able to use sci-fi themes to help make it as good as it was, not something Family Guy could easily do.

This won't be the characters of Family Guy acting out a Star Trek film like Blue Harvest. It's an episode focusing on Stewie building a transporter, beaming the cast somewhere, and spending the day with them from the description.

When does the Empire Strikes Back episode air?

It's the Season Finale, but I read somewhere it may be pushed back to next season.

I was wondering when he was going to do this, I Know Patrick Stewart and John Frakes have been on FG, and I think Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis have too

Picard: "Number One."
Riker: "Yes, captain?"
Picard: "Let me ask you something. If I whispered in your ear that Commander Worf's head looks like a fanny, would you join me in a laugh?"
Riker: "Yeah, I could get in on that."
Picard: "All right, here it comes: Commander Worf's head looks like a fanny!"
Crew: "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha..."
Worf: "You can both suck my ridges!"
Picard: "Oh, get a sense of humor, Rocky Dennis!"

Exhibit A of why Family Guy is just not funny. Worf's forehead looks like somebody's butt? Is that really the best they could do?

Actually they are using the British word for fanny which is a vagina in that scene .Like most Americans I know this because I watvched "arrested Development." :)

No, it isn't the best they could do. The scene they originally written and even recorded and animated was actually a rather hilarious one about Picard having sexual thoughts about Deanna Troi, she senses this, begins saying so, making Picard so uncomfortable he runs to his ready room. Fox was uncomfortable with the scene for unspecified reasons, so the "Mr. Worf's head looks like a fanny" scene was written instead. The original scene, which features the voices of Patrick Stewart and Marina Sirtis can be found on the DVDs.
