I have never met a person in real life who actually liked him. This is weirding me out.

How can you say that? Samuel L. Jackson's a Bad-Ass-Motherfucker. His wallet says Bad-Ass-Motherfucker. Jedi use green or blue lightsabers. Not SLJ. His is purple, just to let everyone know not to fuck with him 'cause he's a Bad-Ass-Motherfucker (incidentally his lightsaber also says Bad-Ass-Motherfucker).
Seriously though, SLJ played alot of memorable characters in alot of memorable films. He's truly an icon.

I'd rather have Marvel pay out to have Sam. If they knew they needed $$$ for him and its A factor of why Rhodey got recast then so be it.

Somewhere in a Las Vegas hotel room, David Hasselhoff is crying into his big drippy cheeseburger.
To be fair, SLJ usually can knock out 9 movies in about two and a half weeks. But for the sake of continuity and because he's not only a highly watchable actor but is perfect for the role of Fury (at least, the ultimates version), I'm quite happy to see him sign this deal. Look forward to seeing how these movies all tie in together.
