ok, I've seen the Century class and it's not bad, it's actually pretty neat, although it doesn't say Enterprise F to me, also, I don't care much for the segmented deflector dish...and the nacels should be raised, like a Connie or Sovy, actually I really like the Sovy, and would love to see a design incorporating many of it's aspects, sleek, with a Sovy like deflector dish, that nice Quantum Turret in a same or simular place, the shuttlbay on the rear like the Connie was nice... it would be nice if it had the the huge saucer/intimidation look the E has from the front, the swept back nacels, and none of that has no engineering section , all Enterpeises have had a full engineering section, not half down like the Excalibur class (which isn't bad but still no F IMO) or those Sovy based Nebulae concepts....
I think the Century doesn't look intimidating enough for a flagship, diplomatic isn't bad but not only does it not look as good that way IMO, it going for less tecture and smoothed out like the , which I hated... also the Century looks to be about the same size, one thing I found surprising with the E as that it was only a little longer than the D, and oversall, smaller, which isn't surprising considering changing times with the Borg,Dominion and other threats, but you'd think the Century would be bigger than the E but its not, and it seems to me that other than shape and the deflector, little has really been changed, then looks can be decieving, but you'd think with the threat of the Romulans producing Scimitars (without the Thaleron(sp) weapon off course), Dominion Battleships (which are what 4000 meters?, and they have many don't they) you'd think Starfleet would make a bigger ship, now it doesn't have to be 4000 meters by any means, but you can only fit so much on a hull, when you have like 20 distrupters and 30 torpedo tubes or the like, how do you really combot that kind of thing?, yeah you can make a bunch of smaller ships, but eventually your goin to need some heavy hitters, and looking at the SOvy, it's got so much crammed into it already, I mean it only has 24 decks, you'd think the F would be a bit bigger, not the same size, you know? Starfleet isn't warlike, but I think they'd be forced to step up their offensive capabilities like they had to with the Sovy...
I could see a smaller deflector on the top of the saucer section like voyager had... for future slipstream (which has to have 3 segments to a dflector right? or 8 hexagonal ones?)they mentioned that, conveinent for voyager huh?
but anyway enough of my thoughts on this, anywhere I could find a design like this? a Sovy like design thats a bit bigger, and has the nice little tributes like the rear engineering shuttlebay... aand what do you think?
