Tim Russ should've been TUVOK on the 1701-B in GENERATIONS!

Tim Russ also played one of the terrorists in TNG: "Starship Mine," so it's not exactly like they lost touch with him over the years.

He was a Klingon in DS9 'Invasive Procedures', too.

One of my SNW story ideas was to have all of Tim Russ's Trek characters in one story - the E-B officer (an old admiral in the story I was writin', still nameless), Tuvok, Devor, the Klingon, and Mirror Tuvok. I just wasn't able to make the story good enough to send in to the contest, though.

:vulcan: :klingon: :borg:

Almost impossible to view that scene now without "seeing" the ears.

Tim Russ's new book: I Am Not Tuvok

It would've been  in “Flashback”, if while melded with Tuvok, Mrs. Columbo found herself suddenly on Cameron Fry's 1701-B on it's initial launch, seeing T.J. Hooker, Mr. Bester & Scotty there, as well as Ms. Vasquez.

But, as Tim Russ wasn't Tuvok:brickwall: in GENS, that would've been difficult if not impossible for 3 (of ?#) reasons:

1. Recreating Fry's bridge for a small part in “Flashback” would've been expen$ive.

2. Rehiring Ruck & Goldstein may not have been such a simple thing.

3. Forget $hatner, Koenig & Doohan. Unless you had look-alikes there not focused on too closely, & when shown, only from their backs & sides.

Inserting Fry's ship into “Flashback” had Russ been Tuvok, is shear fantasy, something for speculative aficionadofic.

I still think Tim Russ should've been Tuvok in GENS, had it been probable. Even if he had no lines at all.

Its about being  for canonuity, trivia & for ST aficionadodom.

:)

^There's nothing to say that Tuvok didn't serve on the Excelsior AND the Enterprise-B. Just because it was the Excelsior in "Flashback" doesn't mean it's impossible for him to have served on both at one time or another.

Your would-be SNW entry sounds really  & intriguing:vulcan:
I really like stories like the one you describe here.

Thinking of Brunt, Weyoun & a thawed-out Shran meeting on DS9:hugegrin:

Or Sarek & the late Mark Lenard's TOS Romulan & TMP “Klingon” characters all meeting:cool:

Dukat, Tebok, & Macet should've met once:)

There are many other examples (IE: Martok & Laas)

:techman:

Very good point.

If Tuvok served on the 1701-B (I hope he did), I wonder how often Skipper Fry, Vasquez & Crew noticed how identical Tuvok & 1 of their bridge personnel are.

Perfect clones, sans the ears.

Nice idea! You'd also need to somehow get that 19th century San Francisco card shark played by Marc Alaimo to meet Dukat, Macet, and Tebok as well! ;)

Glad to hear it. Just wish I could have worked it out to where it would work for the contest.

I had a similiar-ish idea, I guess, for another SNW story that same year, where T'Rul, Doctor Zimmerman and Melora all came back to DS9 after the Dominion War to deal with the Romulan presence in the Bajoran sector.

I just picked three folks who had only been to the station once, and left for whatever reasons, gettin' called back by Colonel Kira.

And the story was goin' to be told from the point of view of the "main" characters still on the station - Kira / T'Rul, Nog / Zimmerman, Bashir / Melora (in a non-romantic way).

Anywa, none of it matters any more...Pocket 86'ed the SNW contests.

At least I got one story written well enough to submit (it didn't get published, though)...a post-INS story of how Geordi had to go back to the ocular implants.

Your SNW & TrekLit story ideas are very interesting:vulcan:

Your DS9 story involving Dr. Zimmerman, T'Rul & Melora sounds really

Like the sound of your TNG post-INS Geordi LaForge story:techman:

Yeah. I'm pissed about PB's STPTB having put SNW in the cemetary:mad::brickwall:

PB's STPTB have to go to the graveyard. dig up SNW's casket, roll'er bones into a shopping bag, bring'em to Doc Frankenstein or Jeff Combs' character from RE-ANIMATOR &:

RESURRECT SNW BACK TO LIFE AGAIN.

Tuvok just lost a bet with the other officers on that ship and part of loosing that bet meant he had to have his ears sanded down.

Vulcan ears are like Rodent teeth, they always got to be sanded down or they will get too big.

Try that with all the characters played by James Sloyan!
