On the contrary I believe there are more Voyager fans out there than people realize. At least, more than the folks at Pocket seem to believe. I'm afraid I assumed that same attitude was prevalent among those at Star Trek Magazine which was MY mistake.
kimc, if Pocket truly didn't believe in "Voyager", do you think they'd have bothered with Relaunch novels at all?
The Christie Golden novels sold very well, we're told - multiple reprints! - and Pocket recently did a highly recommended omnibus of short stories. Even though the TV series books (and DS9) were among Pocket's consistently lowest sellers, VOY was always included in most book crossovers, even though the ship was often way off in the Delta Quadrant ("Day of Honor", "Invasion!", "The Captain's Table", "The Brave and the Bold", "Section 31", YA "Starfleet Academy"...)
By the way, I remembered the other day: I was the designer of the first Playmates NewForce Exclusive action figure: "Captain Kathryn Janeway as seen in 'Flashback'." The brief was to design a figure that would sell well, be canonical, and be based
only on existing sculpts, in this case Janeway's head on Saavik's body, painted in Rand's ST VI movie uniform colours.
