Minutia Question for the Hard Core Fans

Sorta general, but since DS9 fans are the most knowledgeable...here goes.

Earth-Romulan War: Spock spoke of a battle (not Cheron or Hell's Gate) that sounded something like 'Tal Cini' or 'Tal Cidi'.

It was also mentioned in, In a Mirror, Darkly, by T' Pol (I think)

I have googled it to no avail. Any answers?

Thank you for saying DS9 fans are the most knowledgeable, but this will probably be moved to General discussion anyway.

You're thinking of Tau Ceti. In "Whom Gods Destroy" Spock makes mention to an otherwise unknown confrontation between the Enterprise and the Romulans where Kirk employed the also otherwise unknown Cochrane Deceleration Maneuver.

Tau Ceti is also the area where the Kobyashi Maru scenerio takes place. In "Shadows of P'Jem" it is the site where the accords between the Vulcans and the Andorians were signed. And in "In a Mirror, Darkly" it is where the Terrans first began losing to the alien rebellion.

Didn't the TNG writers goof and mention that was where the Traveler came from in "Journey's End?" (They'd previously established his home system as Tau Alpha C, if memory serves me right.)

That's right. It was Dr. Crusher who got it wrong. ;)
