iPod Advice Requested

I got an iPhone and it really changed my morning runs. I can either listen to my iPod or run Pandora radio and I just downloaded Run Keeper which uses the GPS to track my running distance and mile/min times.

Apple iPod, original and best digital music audio player!

Regardless of how you define the term, the iPod was by no means the original DAP, the Eiger Labs MPMan F10 predated it by roughly three years. At the time of the original iPod launch in 2001 there were many DAPs (Flash, HDD, CD-based) on the market.

Nor was iTMS the first online music store, incidentally.

Disappointed I only got one bite, frankly. But I should be glad the thread isn't overrun by fanboys.

Given that most iPod users I've encountered are under the impression that AAC was created by Apple, you'll have to forgive my credulity.

As a Mac user no other audio player really made sense for me. If the iPod was crap I surely wouldn't have bought it, but the interface is excellent and the quality is quite good.

I'm definitely interested in the iPhone, but not the tariffs currently being offered; I heard that O2s exclusivity ends this year -- anyone know if that's the case?

I have a Zune 120 GB, the same size as the iPod Classic, and i have to tell you, it has more nifty things than the ipod. FM tuner, wireless sync capability, bigger screen size. It's great.

Do they still make those? Just kidding.

I have a 160GB iPod classic, if it had radio it would be perfect. The screen size doesn't bother me as I play all my movies that are on the iPod through a TV using the leads. I love when I'm going away for the weekend & I can rent movies from iTunes, pop them onto my iPod & watch them in some remote location. These gadgets are great.

I have a little shuffle too, which is always in my bag with my latest fav albums on it. Oh, I'm going to start a thread on that.

I'm still waiting for it to arrive, but a couple weeks ago I got a Sandisk Sansa e260
it was on woot.com for like 25 bucks so I couldn't refuse :D
I absolutely love my zune but it's too big for the gym

I just bought a Sandisk Sansa m240 because it was only about $15 and I don't require much space (I can't even fill 1 GB at the moment). I love the radio, it works great and has very good reception. I definitely feel like it's a better deal than the more expensive players. At this price, if it breaks I could replace it 10 times and it still would be cheaper than the other brands. I've had it for a few months now and it works great though so I doubt anything like that's going to happen. The newer ones like the one you got look even nicer.

I plan to put Rockbox on it too :D

pardon the double post, but the player arrived last night, and Rockbox was freakin' easy to install :D
It went from boring vanilla mp3 player to useful fun thing

As a non-Mac user no other audio player made sense for me either.
