Here's yer snow...

My best friend's family lives outside of Quebec City, they sent him some photos from the past couple of weeks. I thought we had a decent amount of snow in my neck of the woods this year, but this is crazy! Some of you Brits might go blind.

But they learn to roll with it. :)

I'll admit I don't think I've ever seen quite *that* much snow. Came close a few times.

while Syracuse (where I live) is the snowiest metro area in the US (obviously other places get much more)
I've never seen that much snow in person!
must be great fun! :D

That's awesome to see, though I hope there were no long-lasting ill-effects from the snow. Thanks for sharing!

Roofs are designed to shed the snow before it accumulates to dangerous weights. That's why they're not flat.

Flooding is rarely a problem after a heavy snow. Depends on the house of course.

As I see it, if your house is in a snow-heavy location and floods when the snow around it is melting, then your house isn't very well-designed.

^yes, the roads will be awful come this Spring...unless we get a slow melt, like melt a little, freeze a little, and so on.

We got a lot of snow in TO and area (like I've said, the snow mountain on our apt. front lawn goes to the second floor). Quebec has us beat
