Gallup, New Mexico?

I might be accepting a job offer in this town.

Does anyone here live around that area or are you familiar with the town?

Do you have any thoughts about the place?

My impression of it was that it was a small town out in the middle of nowhere but I was only there a short time.

I'm fairly young and I have no family so I'm not sure how happy I'd be there. I'm sort of used to living in bigger cities.

Help!

All I know is that the Bus Ticket sends you there, and it's the location of The Motel.

That was such a good miniseries! I had a whole list of different Items that I wanted to see. Plus Kevin Polluck made a great bad guy! Great reference!!!

I just watched part 1 of that the other day. Gonna complete it later this week.

It's a very small town that's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. That's all I really remember of it, of the times I've been there. Don't really have any more info, sorry.

As to the miniseries, I don't believe any of it was actually filmed there. Although it was filmed in NM.

ok.. All Kidding aside.. Gallup is a quirky little city in the "Heart of Indian Country" as they like to promote it.. Desert to the west, millions of acres of forest to the east and south... A truely gorgeous area of New Mexico with its fair share of good restaurants, tourist traps, decent radio stations and lots of great Native American culture..

It also has its downsides.. The city has been dealing with an alcohol problem within the native population for quite a while. In recent years, a lot of progress has been made to deal with the issue, but there's still a lot of room for improvement.

That said, the people are very friendly and I think you'd enjoy living there.

I'll be there in May (the 13th and 14th) promoting forest and wateshed health at the middle and highschool "Water Awareness Day"... C'mon by the State Forestry booth and say hi!!
