Too bad; I'd like to see samples of your work. I'm reminded of Fred Hembeck, who started out hoping to be a traditional comic book artist and ended up creating his own unique niche in the hobby. If you look around at many of the Indy publishers or newspaper comics, you'll see a lot of engaging artists-- from James Kolchaka and Matt Groenig to Johnny Hart and Scott Adams-- who might not technically be considered "good" artists, but who are appealing and well-loved.
