Hey everyone:
I wanted to apologize for the sudden disappearance of the HS.net site. The simple fact is that it was started by two gentlemen that I knew through another forum site who wanted a place to host their fanfiction. I found eFiction and proposed it, and they jumped on an opportunity to house ALL fanfiction, not just Trek. Funny thing is, they never added their fanfics :/
Over the course of a year or so, they eventually lost interest because emails to the librarian account went unreplied to. I had to kind of sort of start standing in because the site was being spammed every now and again. I searched for someone to admin the site full-time, but no one wanted to do much more than post to it.
In spite of the lack of administration, though, the site had a lot of activity and you guys were driving a lot of traffic to it with your awesome submissions. I'm really sorry that I was not able to win the fight against GoDaddy and retreive the database to recover your stories. The lesson learned is to not use their service any longer, and I don't intend to do so in the future. I regret that the lesson came at such a high cost.
I'd like to thank Sam Redfeather for keeping you all in the loop while I scrambled to find a new host. Ad Astra looks like it will be a fine spiritual successor to HopeStation.net's Repository, and I wish them greater success. Maybe you'll find the ol' Quarterdeck Breed stories over there, someday (should they pass vetting).
My thanks to you all, and continued success in your creative endeavors!
