Buying my first car

Also, figure out *where* you will be driving the car most of the time. If it's in a very hilly neighborhood, you may want a 4WD car. That's why I got mine (a Honda CR-V).
Oh please, I live in the steepest country in the world, I've owned both a AWD and an FWD, it makes no difference which one you have, unless you like going off-road or stomping down on the accellerator in the wet. The only difference is your fuel consumption going from FWD or RWD to AWD. The only time I would recommend AWD is if you're looking at a petrol turbo, which it doesn't sound like you are.

In the end it's all of course of the everyone to decide for themselves. I love cars with V8s and rear wheel drive, and another guy might think me crazy for not loving all over the latest Volvo.
:guffaw: Really, people love all over Volvos where you are? Sounds like they seriously need a life, in every other country in the world they are known as the most boring cars around. I hope for their sake they never go near an S40, it makes Yank tanks seem lively, and for the record I can't stand 99% of the crap that passes for cars in the US.

I will tell you, Nissan's are awesome. I highly recommend them.

I will second this opinion, having owned two of them, although their line-up seems to have gotten very boring in the last few years, a few of the exceptions being the new GT-R, of course, and the Stagea.

^Which doesn't take much to be honest  But yeah I agree.

Dude, fucking boring car taste Sweden. Is there really anyone that blames me for wanting a Camaro so that I can be a bit original? I mean yeah there are other reasons as well, but that's a big one.

The only thing remotely fun to come out Volvo in a long time is the C30 a few years ago, and that ain't to hot either.

I should just move to the US and get it over with, I'm a way better American then I am a Swede

Now now, Toyota did impress me with the new Prius. They made it even uglier then it was before. That is impressive, just not in a positive way.

Yeah that is a beautiful car.

But I'm actually gonna go out of character and say that I kinda like the Supra. But seeing as it's not been made for seven years now, my point still stands.

You can't go wrong with a VW Golf/Rabbit. The Opel/Saturn Astra is a good car as well.

Amen. Just picked up a 2006 GTI which the dealer was practically giving away the market is so depressed. Dual clutch DSG, 200 BHP and paddle shift, it absolutely rocks.

yeah, the Supra was cool, but The Fast and the Furious took it down a notch in my book
That movie pretty much ruined anything remotely good about and connected with the tuner culture. Let's just say there are several reasons while I'm generally more of an big American V8 with RWD kinda guy.

Okay, I gotta admit that's pretty nice, even though I'm almost a bit too big for the Golf. I have 192 BHP in my Saab and that's a bit heavier then the Golf, so that car has got to move pretty quickly.
