"I did fall asleep reading a particularly erotic chapter of my grandmother's journal."
C'mon. Nothing beats that for so much horror in such brevity.

Where is that from??
Wesley Crusher: "I'm with Starfleet. We don't lie."
To me, though, if Wesley had been written as a better character from the beginning, that would have been a much more poignant and bittersweet line.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with you there.
That line bothered me when I was a kid, but I wasn't sure why.
It bothers me even more now. I mean, ew. Who wants to read about their grandparents' sexual escapades? *shudder*
Data's "Yes!" hand clench in Generations is outdone minutes later by his "Oh, shit!"
Seven years of character development undone by one movie.

And still you took time to either memorize it or copy/paste it...![]()
Why? You've never been frightened?"Captain...I'm frightened."
I cringe every time I hear Uhura utter that line in City on the Edge of Forever. She manages to undo a whole season of respectability in one sentence.
"So you guys are on some kind of star . . . trek?!?"
Captain Archer: When I was in my early twenties on a trip to East Africa, I saw a gazelle giving birth. It was truly amazing. Within minutes, the baby was standing up - standing up on its own. A few more minutes, and it was walking; and before I knew it, it was running alongside its mother, moving away with the herd. Humans aren't like that, Ambassador. We may come from the same planet as those gazelles, but we're pretty much helpless when we're born. It takes us months before we're able to crawl; almost a full year before we can walk. Our deep space mission isn't much different. We're going to stumble, make mistakes - I'm sure more than a few before we find our footing... But we're going to learn from those mistakes. That's what being human is all about. I'm sorry you can't see that.
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel lucky today."
-Captain Janeway, Dark Frontier
Read the line as "I don't know about the rest of you, but to hell with what we know about the Borg, how tough they are, and let's just retcon the entire franchise up to this point". And also... Janeway's picking fights with entire Borg vessels on a whim?
Even as an overexcited 14 year old fanboy, this was the point I thought something was seriously wrong with Voyager, and I didn't really shake that feeling even up to Endgame.
That line from Sub Rosa is a very strong contender thoughIn fact, I might change my vote to that.
It took you 5 years to realize something was wrong? That became apparent the second Neelix character debuted in "Caretaker," but you were 9 and can't be blamed, I guess...Even as an overexcited 14 year old fanboy, this was the point I thought something was seriously wrong with Voyager
