Worst Line in all of Trekdom

Since we recently had a thread about the best line in Trek, I thought it would be fun to list what are some people's least favourite lines. Rather than list half of Spock's Brain, I'm going to pick this line about death from These Are the Voyages...

Archer: "Time heals all wounds, but absence makes the heart grow fonder, I guess it's a little tricky."

Three cliches in one sentence, that has to be some sort of a record.

McCoy: His brain's gone!

Or that lovely pile that is Voyager's Threshold:

"Which one is the Captain?" - "The female, of course."

Archer: "Time heals all wounds, but absence makes the heart grow fonder, I guess it's a little tricky."

Three cliches in one sentence, that has to be some sort of a record.
LOL :lol: I honestly couldn't believe my ears when I first heard this, I remember thinking:"Is this for real?"

Did they print T-shirts with that phrase? :)
(That line may be bad, but it's a cult one)

"Captain...I'm frightened."

I cringe every time I hear Uhura utter that line in City on the Edge of Forever. She manages to undo a whole season of respectability in one sentence.

"I did fall asleep reading a particularly erotic chapter of my grandmother's journal."

C'mon. Nothing beats that for so much horror in such brevity.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with you there.

That line bothered me when I was a kid, but I wasn't sure why.

It bothers me even more now. I mean, ew. Who wants to read about their grandparents' sexual escapades? *shudder*
