New Enterprise Toy Revealed

I just thought, what if those glass panels are debugging equipment, for the initial launch, but come the end of the film, are surplus to requirements.

They do look like circuit diagrams, and status displays...

Old Spock- 84 degrees!?!? whose paying the heating bill!

Actually I think thats Sarek.

Well, where do i start..?

Urmmmmm... Yeah...

Right, first off... Playmates announced as licence holders. :rolleyes::confused::guffaw::brickwall::censored: oh and :scream:.

Saw first figure... :guffaw::lol::guffaw:

Saw the new Enterprise toy and, i dont know if its just me but the angle chosen for release makes it look a whole lot better, dontya think?

It actually looks in proportion, sort of. I like the shot, i like the detail of the toy, infact from that you can see obvious design elements take from the original model and incorporated into it. Obviously those elements have been changed etc to match the rest of it. But, the damn ship actually looks good.

The Transporter Room, well, brings back memories of those old transporter room playsets, dont it? Interesting take on the old design, but again, itll look different on screen, as like always, the toy versions are changed and the parts are often close together.

And that brings me to the bridge. On a closer look , the bridge design is more like a command center, ala NASA. But, its still a play mat with horribly out of scale things to place on it.
Also, if you look carefully it looks like its missing its upper back level due to the fact you have to collect the parts, in the trailer, there is no throne-like plinth, there is no railing either that we also see in the trailer, the capts chair part fits into the front part of the toys center, creating a high back like plinth.

Fuck knows, its Playmates, anythings possible when you get the production veresion of these.

Oh, and those smaller figures look a damn sight better than the first one released. Lets hope they dont turn out like the Indiana Jones 3 1/2 inch figures. :rolleyes:

I added some details, like some windows, got rid of that blue bridge dome, added those blue lights we've seen at the nacelles...

Better ?

That looks really, really cool! I was worried like most others were when the flyer thing was revealed but this looks awesome! It grows on you! The bridge playset looks really freaking sweet as well.

I had misgivings with the first image given by Paramount, but seeing the Photoshop Manips of the new image of the ship really makes it for someone like me to deny that it is potentially a beautiful ship. Terrific job guys, would love to see Wallpaper Versions of these!
