Battle for the Cowl #2 cover question

that's WildCat on cover one, and I think that's Katana in with her new mask in the second cover.

I know there's a new Azreal, but am not clear on the details, so the guy and the woman with the matching shirt might be related to that.

The "knight guy" is a superhero called em.. the Knight (British version of Batman), his assistant Squire is the one kneeing.

If the center figure of #2 is Tim Drake Robin, who is the younger looking hooded Robin boy in #1 to the right?
 
Right, I forgot about him. I've only read the "Batman and Son" trade awhile ago. ... This reminds me, whatever happened to Jason Todd after Countdown ended all those months ago? Has he made any appearances since then? Will he be involved in the Battle for the Cowl?

Yes he has, the thing to bear in mind about countdown - DC basically tossed it because of the terrible reception it got. In theory, it was suppose to lead into Final Crisis but it so mangled Morrison's concepts that's best not to think of them as being connected. Same for "death of the New Gods".

He appeared in Robin post-RIP trying to band together the various gangs in Gotham to take down the cops before Tim took him down.

No Lynx is one of Tim's rogues. The one in the mask is the second with that id.
 
Jason Todd is taking down cops? I read preview pages of Countdown and I thought he was a hero in that.

For a loner, Batman has a huge extended family.

Also, will they please stop drawing Huntress in her stupid Jim Lee pre-Crisis-inspired costume? She stopped wearing that years ago.
 
Does Huntress in the comics ever wear that skimpy outfit she wore on the JLU cartoon? I've only seen her in a full cover up or the one on this cover.
 
To be honest, if someone were to take up Batman's cowl I think it would be badass if it were Gordon himself rather than any of his "extended family." Just a shame he's a little too old.

I also hate the Jim Lee Huntress costume. There's no reason why she would keep her stomach exposed like that.

I much prefer the all black padded armor thing she wore prior to that in the 90s.
 
Well I found something interesting in the Issue 2 Summary on DC Comics Website.

Their aparently blowing up Arkham again.
