Uh.... isn't that really bad for LOST? :( My god, the premiere of "Lie to Me" did better than LOST!

According to wiki, the S4 average was 13.40 mil. And S3 was 14.6, and S2 was 15.5, and S1 was 16.1 The S4 finale was 13.99 mil.

LOST was dragged down by the 10pm-11pm hour, which was the whole cause of the drop in the 1st place back in season 3. Lost at 8pm works best but still 11 million + and a huge demo means success (Number 1 on TIVO/DVR).

LOST numbers will be down next week as people jump ship from what happened to the island.

However the show should be on at 9pm, it did terrible last year at 10. The timeslot is good. I think the show FOX showed after American Idol was really helped by the 3 minutes AI ran into it's time.

Fans shouldn't really worry about the ratings anymore. It will be getting it's 6 seasons.
Yup. It's a done deal at this point.

So Farscape has a fifth season i have never seen?

The ratings fall too much of any show and it will hit the dirt. It won't happen to LOST, but just saying anything is possible.

I know the show is guaranteed run through, but I'd still like to see it do well. Still, there IS the aforementioned Farscape example. Renewed for a fifth season then subsequently canceled anyway.

Except we weren't talking about any show. We were talking about Lost.

I'll acknowledge that there is a very, very slight possibility of Lost not getting its sixth and final season, but in order for that to happen the ratings would have to drop severely in the next few weeks.

Maybe ABC will suddenly, randomly decide they want to move away from island shows and cancel Lost, leaving it on a cliffhanger.

Aw. I made myself sad. :(

I know it's small but anything is possible, more so because it's been reported they want to move away from so many scripted shows.

However the DVD sales are most likely great, so if it keeps above 8.5 million, and the demo stays high there is no issue.

But anything is possible.... :)
