I'm hoping the bulkiness is simply due to this being a Playmates toy (they've always been rather chunky). I still don't like how radical the design is but this looks better than that first reveal we got back in November.

BTW, there's that and more at this link. There's a shot of the transporter room, communicator and bridge playset, giving the first look of what the entire bridge will look like.

Wow, loving the bridge. Looks so much better in toy form. The transporter room is...interesting. The communicator is great, loving the United Federation of Planets symbol they have incorporated into the design. Thumbs up.

MOTHER OF MERGITROID!

THESE THINGS ARE BEAUTIFUL!!

I getting that Communicator. I'm still on the fence about the Phaser and Tricorder, however.

I meant until I see final versions of the Playmates toys and the Props, just to make sure they look like the ones in the movie.

Oh, yeah. Seen those. Was hoping the big versions were up somewhere. :(

I like pretty much everything I see. Not quite how I would have designed the film, but cool nonetheless. Really don't see what's so "big" about the nacelles to some people. The forward ends are thicker, sure, but they're no longer than the originals, and taper down attractively to typical girth. My big problem is with the neck/secondary hull, but even that's not too terrible.

Wait, wait, wait. These toys..the Enterprise...that communicator...they look...accurate. Can it be? Has Playmates actually done a good job?

I recall seeing something on TrekMovie about the hand prop toys being based off the filming props. I hope that's true because it means cheap costume accessories!

Also, the comm looks way better open. :techman:

Enterprise looks fucking awesome. She really does. Those nacelles look great to me. Proportions looks fine.

Who's that on the bridge dressed in black? Grey hair - is it Spock?

Or someone else?

The Bridge is looking good, does the Captain's Chair rise up on a platform?

Still not turned on by the ship though.

This is odd...those rumors that there are two different versions of the Enterprise in the film might be true. Here's another view of a Playmates Enterprise:

I think I actually like the first version better!

There's a whole gallery of new Trek stuff here.
