Do you feel sorry for wheelchair ridden Dick Cheney

Do you feel sorry for him?

I don't know how people who are wheel-chair ridden survive everyday. Obviously they have more guts then I would have.

I expect that people who use wheelchairs on a regular basis (and if anyone can speak to this firsthand and confirm or deny, I would appreciate it) get along pretty well. I would expect the logistics can be dealt with, with practice and habit...it would be more the reactions of other people that would probably be the most bothersome.

If you have NOT dealt with that situation on a daily basis and do not have the coping skills and techniques required and have to build them from the ground up, that kind of abrupt transition is a different matter. I know when I twisted my ankle and wound up on crutches (on a college campus that required walking long distances), it really threw me for a loop, and it was NOT pleasant at all. Had it been a long-term condition, though, I expect I would've had many more (and better) tools at my disposal to deal with it.

I voted NO but should've voted that 3rd option (Dick who?).

Actually I'm utterly indifferent to Dick Cheney's wheelchair predicament.

I neither pity DC nor take delight in DC's situation.

DCs wheelchair bound. So? I just don't give a :wtf: either or any way about it.

It made me think about the Little House on the Prairie episode when Nellie faked the paralysis and was in the wheel chair. Laura pushed her down the hill and into the pond.
I was hoping Sasha Obama would jump up and do the same to Cheney!
He probably had the good silver under his lap blanket.

I use one daily, and I can tell you that I personally get along (not to mention around) just fine. Of course, like everything else in life, it's relative.

And to Nerys Ghemor: It doesn't take guts, it takes endurance.

Sucks he's in a wheel chair but I don't feel sorry for him. I don't wish physical harm on him either though.

I'm certainly no Cheney supporter, but I don't wish harm on him. I do feel sorry for him. His enemies might not agree, but even after all that's happened, he's still human.

I don't wish Cheney ill, but on the grand scale of things, pulling a muscle in your back is one of those everyday things. I wouldn't send a "get well" card for it. It's just one of those "well, crap, now I'm gonna look stupid at the partyt" moments that could happen to anyone.

Do I feel sorry for that war-profiteering, constitution-shredding, torture-encouraging, intel-fabricating, corrupt old fuck? Oh, puhleez!!
I hope his goddamned babboon heart explodes as I type this.

Him in the wheelchair is the perfect symbol for his failed presidency, er, Bushs presidency - after walking tall and not caring who they screwed, it now leaves office old and crippled.

The symbolism is definitely appropriate.

As for Cheney himself, I can't work up much interest either way....

The topic was Cheney.

Anyhow, I dislike pain, so of course. I also feel bad for him that he has gotten so much unwarranted criticism and hate directed at him.

Okay...here's me trying really hard to work up sympathy for Dick Chaney...for ANY reason....

Trying.....

Still trying.....

Working REALLY hard at trying.....

Nope. Don't have it in me. :p

The guy (and his boss) are war criminals, as far as I'm concerned. Feeling sorry for Chaney is only slightly less difficult than feeling sorry for Saddam.

He's a Dick. (really! he is! :D )
