Senator Kennedy just collapsed

Oh I don't want him DEAD, just watching them flounder around like Normal People is good enough for me. You'd have to have been around them in social situations and watch them torque two of your living relations (aunt and mother) along and then dash them down just for fun.
 
This sucks. I hope this doesn't represent another serious setback to his health. :(

And to those who think it's funny just because they have policy disagreements with him as I do--that's pretty tasteless. Both those reactions AND the glee in Cheney's injury are tasteless, period.

Honestly I have NO feelings at all re: TK. No ill-will towards TK. No joy in seeing TK in pain. NOTHING!

I'm pure indifference re:TK.

Just as with DC & his wheelchair.

Guess it's because folks like DC & TK aren't “real” to me somehow. They're abstractions, if not distractions.
 
Unfortunately seizures can happen with brain cancer - my 21-year-old godson just had one recently too. It's such an awful disease - I hope he's able to get back on his feet.
 
There were no cameras because the press is not allowed in for the luncheon. They said that he had a seizure and was taken out to an ambulance conscious, but in pain. Obama talked to him on the phone shortly thereafter and apparently he is doing alright, though of course we don't know what this means for his health in the long run.
 
I hope Kennedy recovers. I don't wish him any harm any more than I would Dick Cheney (whom I also hope will get better).

And may I just say that this really sucks, all this wishing of ill health on politicians (anyone, really) that don't jibe with our political views. I am pretty much polar opposites of Kennedy, politically speaking (for that matter, I don't much agree with Cheney either), but why would that make me hate him so much that I'd want him to die? :(
 
I strongly dislike Ted Kennedy but unlike the caring liberals in the Cheney thread, I don't wish ill on him.

Now would be a great time to retire Teddy. We need some new blood in Mass politics anyway.
 
Now that I think about it, this would explain why a couple of ambulances entered the restricted parade route right next to my vantage point during the hour the parade was delayed.
 
someone truly deranged would take joy from someone else's suffering. Cripes, even hardened criminals sometimes say, "I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy's dog".

Something to think about pleco.
 
I just read on CNN that it was a result of fatigue and he'll be out of the hospital tomorrow. Hopefully, this will prove to be true.
 
My family has a connection to the Kennedy family and because of this some of my worst childhood experiences (via maternal insanity/obsession) stem from association with these people.

Frankly, I would find great closure if the true extent of the Kennedy Family shenanigans came to light and the true nature of these people were exposed.

So yeah, it's kind of nice to see Mr. High And Mighty brought down even for a moment. Reminds me that they are mortal too.
