Friday Night Lights fans - great season coming

I know there are some FNL fans out there and the show will be on NBC later this spring, but I just finished watching the season on the DirecTV feed.

You are in for a great season that progresses the characters, ties up some storylines and starts some new ones (oh boy, does a new one start...).

The first season was great, the second slipped a bit but was still among the best time on TV. The third returns the show to first season greatness and (IMHO) kicks it up a notch.

So hold on because you have a great season coming.

Does the story still focus on the Dillon Panthers in season three? I mean, Smash is gone, Riggins also if I remember correctly (or how old is he?). Saracen's still in High School I think, but just showing another season of the Panthers struggling and then winning everything in the end would seem sort of lame anyway.

Well at least the show ends on a high note. There is no chance NBC will give it a 4th season unless the creators are sleeping with people at the network.

I bought the first season at WalMart ages ago for $10 ($5 for each half of the season) in the bargin bin quite a while ago and watched the 1st episode and DESPISED IT as I thought it was so badly cliche it made me want to puke and never watched any other episodes. Had some free time over the holidays and didn't have any new material and didn't want to watch stuff I alreadfy have seen numerous times so I thought i would try and see if i coul bear the rest of the season. Still think the 1st episode i pure crap but LOVED the rest of the eason. Watched the econ season on Hulu and now can't wait for the third season.

I've spent the last couple of months watching seasons 1-2 via NetFlix. I never thought I would fall in love with a show about Texas high school football, but indeed I have! I can't wait for season 3!

It was a DirecTV exclusive in the fall and the season finale just happened. Now it's airing on NBC starting Friday.

I just finished watching season 3 too, and I have to say, that I'm a damn fool. I couldn't have been more wrong about anything I wrote earlier in this thread. I take back everything, imo this season is the best FNL ever had. If this show doesn't get renewed I don't know what the hell the tv execs are smoking, this has got to continue.

That state championship final was wild - Saracen playing QB and WR in the same play, genius.
I'm glad for Smash too, he deserved that chance.

The only thing that bothered me about the last episode: Riggins going to college and Saracen not? Insanity!

And the young QBs relationship with his father is seriously messed up, that's beyond creepy...

btw. who was od0_ital playing?

Can't help but smile as I knew how wrong your assumptions were but did not want to spoil it for you.

I really want this show to continue but don't have much hope.
