I'd recommend David R. George's Crucible trilogy, Margaret Wander Bonanno's Burning Dreams and Strangers From The Sky, and the anniversary anthologies.

Obviously, not an exhaustive list, but that'll keep you busy for a start. :)

DS9- Abyss, KRAD's DS9 Gateway contribution, maybe some of the Mission Gamma books... I liked the first one, but maybe at least the fourth one. If you like DRGIII, then read the first one, as well as the 3rd WoDS9 book. Fearful Symmetry was pretty good, esp. since you read, and I'm guessing liked the Terok Nor books.

I've read Fearful Symmetry -- I missed it somehow. Thanks though for the suggestions; I forgot about the Gateways series. I think I might hit those up.

Gotta be some other opinions out there yet though...

Given that you seem to have read a lot of TNG books, I recommend the A Time... series. A lot of people only liked the last three books, but I personally enjoyed all nine.

Depending on how much you like DS9, I'd definitely recommend A Stitch In Time by Andrew Robinson.

And also the Vanguard novels if you feel like dipping your toe in a new series.

27 on my list = A Stitch in Time. Not sure why I listed it like that unless it is indeed a numbered novel.

As for the Vanguard series, I know very little about them. I was either thinking that series or maybe continuing the New Frontier line? I only got through the first 4 of those.

Finally, noone mentioned how much more/less they have read. I am gauging how big my trek reading problem really is... ;)

Oh. I don't think you have a problem...

I've read... off the top of my head...

TNG
Genesis Wave series, Battle for Betazed, something else whose name escapes me, and I'm reading Resistance.

The Destiny Trilogy.

DS9
The Rebels trilogy, almost everything between aSiT and FS (going by the Wiki list), except the LHoD I know I haven't read, and the Terok Nor series, I like to move "forward" but I like S. D. Perry's work, so I may read them anyway... and I've read Tales of the Dominion War and... that list seems short... maybe Wiki is missing something?

SCE- Wounds, and because I liked it, I'm hunting for more. :techman:

Ah, very true. Sorry about suggesting a book you'd already read - my brain didn't make the connection, despite me only reading it in the last few weeks :p

I've also read the first four New Frontier books, so I think I'm going to catch up on that series soon (along with ENT, TNG, DS9, SCE and IKS Gorkon - so not much then!).

I think I've only read about 30-35 Trek novels, and I've got just as many sat on my shelf waiting. I'm starting to feel guilty about having not read anything else for over 8 months, but as soon as I start reading something else I think "hmm, I'd rather be reading Trek". Grrr!

I would definitely recommend reading the rest of the DS9 post finale books, IMO there really aren't any bad books in that series. You really should check out Vanguard too if you get a chance, it's an awsome series. If you are at all into the MU then you should check out the two Mirror Universe books that came out in '07, Glass Empires and Obsidian Alliances. There's also a third book in this series now, the shor story collection, Shards and Shadows, but this one just came out this month so I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Then there's also the Myriad Universes books which are the same kind of thing, only they cover general alternate reality (or What If?) stories. These are Infinity's Prism, Echoes and Refractions, the current comic books miniseries The Last Generation, and then a third book Shattered Light is coming out August of 2010.

I enjoyed "The Good That Men Do."

I met Connor Trinnear at a convention and had him sign the cover of that book. He said "is this the one where I come back?? I need to read this." :)

I read that along with Kobiyashi Maru (sp?) and the other one in that set. But I dont know where they are; they are not on my shelf and is why I missed them. But thanks for that suggestion.

Well, obviously you need to read the rest of the SCE stories, Strangers in the Sky, The Final Reflection and Ishmael. Then listen to what JD said-all very good books. Also, Star Trek Lives is essential reading, The Entropy Effect and Federation.

As for what I've read-haven't tried a lot of the new novels-Fearful and The Good That Men Do, New Frontiers and SCE, the MU compilations and the MyU book, as well as 2 cases of older novels(literally), most of which are TOS. Call it 100-150 novels. None of the re-launch stuff, really.
