Old projects I just found

I found my old jump drive the other day with some pics from some projects I was working on last year and forgot about. I’ll have to see if I still have the models somewhere.

This is a Diplomatic Corp vessel. With its large conference room, smaller meeting rooms and guest quarters, its serves as an ambassadorial transport ship. It’s used as a neutral meeting place to discuses everything from treaties to trade disputes between earth, it’s allies, and rival governments and factions.

I wasn’t the first or by the looks of things the last person to try to take the NX-01 into it’s next evolutional step. Not the biggest fan of this ship. (Probably why I forgot about it)

I really like your Diplomatic Corp vessel. Its design reflects its purpose. Very cool. So many ships seem to be variants of the Constitution class (saucer and secondar hull). It's nice to see other design directions.

It looks eerily like the Daedalus a la April project. Though the way these designs are going, it would work much better to eliminate the neck and push the secondary hull/pod back so it's fully supported bu the pylons. Then it wouldn't't look like someone chainsawed off the top of a Constitution-class and welded it to an NX-class.

Also, since the deflector dish is now on a secondary hull, why not close up the front of the saucer, making it more round?

Like I said, I never liked where the design was going so I stop working on it.

Seems to me that that big conference room is too well lit seeing as how the area that should be ceiling lights is really just windows. Am I being unfair here? It would look pretty believable if that room was more darkly lit IMHO.

I too like this evolution of the ship. Kennedy Shipyards also did a variant of this back in 2003, but only one view:

Thanks for the coments! I found the model files the other day so I might have to do some more work on them in my spare time.
