Have you
heard of this company called Unitel Aerospace. They have
patents on a starship that can travel instantaneously to other star
systems by quantum tunneling through higher dimensions. It can also
travel through time and to parallel universes. The technology is based
on back engineering of a UFO sighted by the CEO Larry Maurer. Website
is http://www.unitel-qht.com/uni/ . Check it out. I loved it. I
believe this is one of the best way to travel to the stars.

this seems suspect... any way of actually verifying this company?

It would be awesome if its true.

We wont know until somebody funds a prototype. Only after testing their patent design can we know whether it works or not. It would be a pity if it actually works and nobody builds a prototype.

Just because there are patents no way indicates it works or that it makes sense. For what they're claiming it's bad science at best and a scam at worst until they can produce reliably peer-reviewed theoretical work describing the synthesis of all the theories they're supposedly mashing together. (It's amazing how much jargon one can throw together on one web page...)

It's never a good sign when people start trumpeting things being the "next best thing since sliced bread" and asking for money before they can show the proper credentials.

I'm going to patent "warp drive". I reverse engineered it from The Enterprise while watching reruns of TNG.

I'm willing to let this go for the time being, if we can manage a discussion of the tech/science involved in the concepts they're putting forth.

Care to offer some tech or scientific backup for that decree, RAMA?

It's easy to say something's bunk. But I'd like to think we can get beyond that into exploring the science behind why it's bunk.

It's a bit difficult to say why something won't do a task when we have no idea how that task can be done. We understand the physical principles of flight, therefore we can explain based on that why something won't fly. However, we do not know how to quantum tunnel for instantaneous travel through time and space, so it's a bit difficult to explain why this won't work (other than the fact that the website strings together scientific words in a nonsensical fashion).

I realize you try to be even-handed, but you're bending over backwards here as the webpage is clearly pseudoscientific claptrap. If this guy did have a proven way of doing what he claims, he would already have lucrative contracts and be the most famous person in the world. That's not to say it can't be posted or discussed here, but most people's responses so far have been pretty much what the mumbo-jumbo in the link deserves.

Sounds remarkably similar to the "transpacitor" someone supposedly reverse engineered from Roswell bits about 10 years ago. All that's left of the company selling "MassPar" (massively parallel) transpacitor computers ore a few references pointing to their now defunct and hijacked website, like this

Someone needs to publish their science and get capital for a prototype before I'll go a star trekking.

I would think if this was legit you'd have people throwing themselves at you to fund it. So the fact that the site is basically asking for money makes me skeptical.

If I were the mob I would fund them, If it works I could become an intergalactic gangster like Jabba the Hut, if it doesn't it is another good excuse to bust some knee caps mafia style.

• The transpacitor can replace 50 to 1000 transistor in memory chips. In other words, the size of computer could shrunk by a factor of up to 1000, or, memory capacitor would increase 1000 fold using the same space as current memory chips. eg. ACC claimed that a single 128 Mega T-CAP panel the size of an SD-RAM could hold 12 Gigabytes of information. A transpacitor can become a high speed and permanent storage device

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

We are already there with Flash Ram capacities!!!!!!

You do have a point. I hesitate to refer to any theory as "mumbo-jumbo" until proven otherwise, but I wanted to give the thread a chance to be a real discussion.

Surely you're joking....

This very sentence alone would leave any any skeptic to question its authenticity. First of all, there has never been any proof that anyone has managed a detailed look at ET UFOs, and even if they HAD, you can't back-engineer from A SIGHTED UFO! They would have to examine its inner workings. Therefore: A load of hoo ha.
