A RAM should have a Hemi!Sorry for being childish but I've never like diesels. I'm with Top Gear here, it's the Devils fuel
I love the Ram diesel. It sounds like a semi-truck, as IMO any pickup should.
But I agree, the Hemi engine is great. I just like the Cummins slightly better.
I don't like Cummins, they sound crappy and have a lot of problems. I like Navistars better.
International makes great diesels.
I just think the Hemi on the RAM sounds badass. There are some RAMs with those around here that sound more badass then many muscle cars.A RAM should have a Hemi!

40K for a 30+ MPG BMW that does 0-60 MPH in about 6. Impressive.
Compare that to the Lexus LS 600h hybrid that pulls about the same performance at less economy and starts at a whopping $104,000!
I got one. It's a riot. It goes from zero to the legal speed limit in no time.

I think I'd bite the bullet and go with an ES 350 (if I wanted a car).
I really do not like 4 cylinder engines, and the HS performance looks underwhelming.
I'm more of an SUV person though, so I'm eying the new 09 RX model.
Well, I prefer German cars anyway.
And 4-cyl engines are kinda the norm over here, not a lot of people buy 6-cyl (or bigger) engines.

I like the performance of German cars, but not the ride (too firm suspension).
I don't like the I4 engines because many of them are loud and harsh (vibrations).
My favorite engine would be an I6, or V12, for the smoothness. It's hard to find I6s these days though, except from IIRC BMW.
Even a V6, to me, seems much quieter and smoother than an I4.
^ Yeah I totally understand that (and agree with it as well). Though these latest direct injection I4s are pretty damn good. Mine's a 2l with 150HP (not much in US, pretty good over here) and it drives very nicely. Like I said, most people over here just can't justify spending a lot more on a bigger engine (gas expenses, insurance, car price). The fact that cars are also much much more expensive over here doesn't really help.
And I actually prefer a firm(er) suspension. I absolutely loathe set-ups that are too soft. But I think I'm a bit weird when it comes to that.

Actually, I think you are the norm. Most people I know want a firm suspension so that they can zip around corners with ease.
I'm the weird one, I prefer the floaty highway cruiser ride.
