NFL Discussion - 2008-09 Playoffs

Did Flacco step out of bounds when they were in their own endzone? Did anyone else see that or am my friend and I crazy?

He's cheering for the Titans and gets unnecessarily pissy when he team doesn't do well. So I may never hear the end of it.

Well, the Titans did every possible to make sure that they didn't win. Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ, the turnovers! But, I will say that on the Raven's last drive, that was a crap non-call for the delay of game on the back-breaking play of the drive. That clock was at 0 for a long time before the snap came.

They just talked about that in the post-game, and no, he did not step out.

Karma. ;)

Funny how this one was practically the mirror image of the last one...including the bad call by the officials to preserve the game-winning drive.

Oh Well!

That was a 23 yard pass in the game winning drive that moved the Ravens to the edge of field goal range that shouldn't have even happened. That's a pretty big "Oh well!"

I didn't see the first game, so I didn't know what sort of crap calls happened there... so, I think that gives me the right to ignore the "Karma!!" declarations. :p

I'm not saying that I don't agree that it was a very questionable call. I'm just saying "oh well". I mean, we have all been on the losing end of questionable calls at one point on another.

Let's just be happy that Hoculi wasn't officiating. :)

Question: Other than Kurt Warner, is there anyone else on the Cardinals who does NOT have dreds?

Fact is if the Titans hadn't left at minimum 9pts on the field then the "no call" delay of game would mean squat. Both fumbles inside the redzone, one on the 9 and recovered on the 2. That could've been 14 pts right there. I expected at least one interception just not on the 20, that could've been another 7 or 3. So at minimum we left 9 pts on the field and at most 21pts. Had we gotten the bare minimum the delay of game missed call wouldn't be an issue.

I have to seriously wonder if the players were reminded the importance of two hands on the ball or if their own bravado and pride interfers. Playoff ball vs anyone and its two hands on the ball, vs the Ravens especially so.

Congrats to the Ravens, Go Cards, Go Steelers and Eagles!

A Chargers-Cardinals Super Bowl would be interesting. An 8-8 division winner vs. a 9-7 division winner.

The Cardinals have now, officially, exceeded my expectations this season.

This whole game was frosting, to be frank—especially since they were deemed to have no chance by the pundits, and little more last week.

At 33-7 with a Panthers TD in garbage time, and without Anquan Boldin ... that constitutes a comprehensive bitch slap. :techman:
