The Stupidest Thing I've Ever Seen

For those whose homes are so cold they need a blanket with sleeves, here's the thing to complete the ensemble, a hat with built-in scarf:

Wow, add a face covering and combine with the Snuggie and you've got the hottest new product ever! The Burquet!

Well, there you go! Courtesy of the DoD, the Extreme Cold Weather mask to complete the ensemble. Now we're ready for a comfy night of television...

Trekker you are totally right. Everytime I see those commercials I laugh. All it is is a backwards robe. If you buy that then you are stupid.

You never know, you might need one when you come see me. -50C and all. However, these people clearly havent heard of something called 'a heater'. Which is why i can still walk around my basement apartment in minimal clothing

Ok. I take back everything I've said about the "Snuggie"/wearable blanket/backwards housecoat.

The toe shoe is now the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I could *maybe* see the use for these things in mountain climbing or uneven/rocky/rough terrrain hiking. But I swear, if I ever see someone wearing these ugly things in public I'm going to throw something at them,

I wish people had just a bit more dignity and care for what they look like when in public. These are right up there with Crocs in my opinion.

PSST. Crocs are GARDEN SHOES not everyday casual-wear shoes!

I don't know. Yes, they're ugly, but I tend to clench my toes when I'm walking on slippery surfaces for traction. On nights like tonight, when I have to walk for 20 minutes through six inches of fresh snow to get to the bus stop (because someone decided it would be a good idea to plow the parking lot across the street and dump the snow in such a way as to block the only direct route to the street that leads to the bus stop, which normally takes about ten minutes), I might be able to get a little more traction in something like those rather than my clunky boots.

(OTOH, I have no idea whether clenching my toes actually does help or not.)

Might I suggest snow boots or something? And I don't think these shoes would "help" in such situations as they don't seem to give you all that much "protection" from the elements. ;)

And if you order right now we'll throw in a set of AMAZING GINSU STEAK KNIVES! :bolian: :bolian: :bolian:

Hey, don't knock the Ginsu! With those knives, I was able to cut out my brain tumor by myself and they were still sharp enough to cut some New York sirloins. And my shoes.

God, the Ginsu knife is a load crap.

It's very, very, finely serrated which means it's more like a saw than a knife. That's how it can cut a tin can and then a tomato. But they're crap for cutting anything meaningful with them, like a piece of meat.

Ginsu knives.

That's what I have. :p Though they are a few years old, and the tread has gotten worn. (Even new boots wouldn't help me to climb Mount Snow, though - I'd need cleats and pitons. :( )

No, but the thought amused me.
