How could you not like "All IN The Family"?My vote goes to Alice, a crushingly unfunny sitcom that lasted nine fucking seasons.
And one of those mostly one room/one set ones, like CHEERS (which I never liked). I actually watched an episode a few months ago to remind myself how awful it was.
One I couldn't stand was ALL IN THE FAMILY. Even pre-cable, I couldn't leave the t.v. on that. Sally Struthers...*shudder*...the 70's decor...blech.
Norman Lear was a head of his time and changed the face of TV forever.
He and Gene Roddenberry did the same things by bringing "taboo" topics such as bigotry to life thru entertainment as using it as a mirror of the social goings on in America during a time of change.
