I didn't vote. I said he was probably #19 at a minimum. Not one of the choices on the poll.
And I'm not really sure what "fanon" has to do with my opinion on the Doctor's age and incarnations.
there seemed to be a couple of posters agreeing with me on the discussion threads, unless they were setting me up & I fell for it.
I believe this matter won't end until the last special, when Ten/Tennant is dying and outright says, "Oh dear, I must be turning into my eleventh self now!"
Y'know, something blunt and too straightforward to be written as believable dialogue. And even then, I'm sure there'll still be someone claiming that Smith is twelve.

This argument overall is getting silly now.
It's like having DS9 fans arguing over whether or not Ezri is the 11th Dax host (Jadzia being both the 8th and 10th, with Verad in between).

I'm just yanking your chain, man. You're usually the one to offer the more "radical" theories when it comes to the Doctor's incarnations, so it was an easy target...

well in that sense wouldn't that technically make matt smith the 13th doctor with the regen/split and donna being 11th and 12th... technically? she was referred to at some point as doctor donna. orignally they thought they were referring to the doctor AND donna, but as the doctor said when they said doctor donna, they meant doctor donna not doctor AND donna.
no, as I see it the 11th Doctor that would have come out of the regeneration was born via the hand, whose DNA kept the 11th Doctor looking like Ten, and as such the actions of the HumanDoctor are those of a new Doctors mind forming, hence the Doctor saying that he is like that because he was born in a war, hinting that was the case with the 9th Doctor.
but mind you that regen you're referring to resulted in two doctors, tenant and donna. as much as people don't want to admit, she was also the doctor and was referred to as such by the seer.

this is where it gets overly complicated, she is not a new Doctor, theDoctorDonna, is a mix of the Donna & theHumanDoctor, and the HumanDoctor is also a mix of Donna.
