Most disgusting movie you ever saw

The difference between Rambo 4 and most of the others mentioned is that the violence was realistic, relevant to the material, had a message to it, and was part of an artistic statement. Stallone said from the people he talked to, the research he did, stuff like that goes on every day in Burma. He felt that if he downplayed it, it wouldn't have been honest.
This film was probably the most brutally violent movie I've ever seen, but this was a depiction of war. This stuff happens during wars.
Yeah this movie was so over the top it was flying. Alot of Peter Jackson's early movies were like this little gem he made. That's right. Peter " Director of Lord of The Rings and The Second Coming of Jesus to geeky Christian kids everywhere" Jackson wrote and directed this. When the two zombies started having sex on the dinner table and during the climax one bites the others lips off and eats them. After that I was like "OK. This is just fucking stupid. I'm done.". Although the Kung-Fu preacher was pretty cool. "Crikey! I kick ass for The Lord!".
Still, the best part of this movie is the lawnmower scene. "Party's over!"
Battle Royale is half-satire about a reality show in which teenagers are taken to an island against their will, given weapons, and forced to murder each other with the last one left alive given the chance to go home safe. Yes it's every bit as fucked up as you can believe.
Fucked up - yes, but there was nothing disgusting in it (well, besides 14-year olds killing each others in a wide variety of ways) ...
Japanese are indeed a weird people. Only they can make a truly nightmare-inducing movie about a girl with long black hair coming out of TVs and literally scaring people to death. Damn, I fell uneasy even remembering certain scenes from Ringu 2.

I actually liked Battle Royale. It truly is a classic. Back in 2005 I heard that they optioned an American studio to remake it. Whatever happened to it?

The guy is actually her husband in real life. I read somewhere that she married him because she actually was highly turned on during that shoot. Freaky!

Her husband in the film, played by Vincent Cassel, is her husband in real life. Not the actor who played the rapist.

Man, some people will believe anything.
Me I just saw the scene once. Both the guys looked the same and I repeated what I read on a fansite.

Yeah Vincent Cassel is her husband. On the extra features for the DVD he said he couldn't be on set during the filming of that scene, which they did six takes of throughout two days.

Whats the most disgusting movie you ever saw and why?

For me, the wife and I just finished watching Tokyo Gore Police. The title should have been a warning. Normally we both enjoy over the top action or gore movies, but goddamn this movie absolutely takes the cake on how disgusting a human mind can be. Or maybe the Japanese mind. Us dropping a couple of nuclear bombs on their heads really fucked their current generation up.

Review: stay the fuck away from this movie at all costs.

C'mon. These kind of Japanese shocker films are so cartooneque and over the top in violence and gore that I can't take them seriously as 'disturbing films'. Same goes for a film like Ichii The Killer. If they were meant to be disturbing, the approach would have been more serious. I challenge you to watch Philosophy of a Knive and afterwards still claim that Tokyo Gore Police is more disgusting. The more these kinds of films are grounded in reality, the more disturbing they are.

Movies where that sick, twisted, fucked up shit should really go down really creep me out like House of 1,000 Corpses or Texas Chainsaw Massacre or the Hills Have Eyes. All those movies made me leave the theater with a very disturbed feeling.

Most disgusting movie though? Dreamcatcher. All that blood and alien snot all over the place and they made the dog eat it...

Here's one: Cabin Fever. Out in the woods, a runaway badass strain of Necrotizing Fasciitis, teenagers...

I haven't seen Strangeland but I hear it's pretty messed up.

I've also heard I Spit On Your Grave, The original Funny Games, and 101 Days of Sodom are all just wrong on so many levels.
I'll tell you what's wrong... People who deny that there is a dark side to them and claim some sort of moral purity. Some of us like dark and disturbing films because it allows us to explore those feelings in a harmless way. I'm not saying I would be a maniac chainsaw killer if I couldn't watch these films, but it's a healthy way of exploring dark tendencies. Just saying there's nothing wrong with enjoying a work of fiction.

Sure, I Spit On Your Grave is depraved in that it shows an extensive rape scene, but as the title indicates that is not what the film is about. It's a revenge flick, and the rape scene serves as a motive for the woman to exact that revenge. This movie in no way glorifies rape, in fact it depicts rape as horrific and argues that rapists deserve the worst fate.

Guinea Pig 2: Flowers of Flesh and Blood shows a samurai slowly cutting a woman to pieces while she is still alive, to such a realistic degree that Charlie Sheen thought it was a snuff film and reported it to the police. Now you won't find me watching this gorefest on a weekly basis, but despite its 'sickness' it is also a masterpiece of realistic gore special effects.

I'm not saying all these films are 'art', in fact most of them were simply made to entertain/shock and have a tacked-on moral message (Cannibal Holocaust) , but it seems a bit easy to just dismiss these films as nothing more than 'wrong'.

I just remembered another one. Saving Private Ryan has some of the goriest war sequences around, some truly revolting stuff. It's a wonderful movie and I love it but it IS disgusting. On that same note, you could include Schindler's List.

and I was gonna mention that too but it's not really a horror movie and that's what I thought we were talking about.

Literally over the final shot of the film, "I wonder who the real cannibals are?" :guffaw:

I think the film, at moments, is great. What ends up bringing it down, surprisingly, is all of the "tame" material. The expedition in the beginning to find out what happened to the filmmakers just plods on to make the film feature length, complete with plenty of schmaltzy music.

I haven't seen Strangeland but I hear it's pretty messed up.

That Dee Snyder movie? The version on pay cable wasn't gorey per se, but kinda sick/disturbing, and also kind schlocky. I think most hard core horror fans would consider it a joke compared to "torture porn" like Saw, etc.

What I saw of Cabin Fever was nasty.

The opening of TROPIC THUNDER, when they are making the movie in Nam and the guys guts were going everywhere, was sick, too. Comically so, but I was surprised by it.

Alien vs Predator: Requiem. It a bad Sci Fi Channel quality movie masquerading as a studio film. That was forgivable. What was not was when they started killing tons of new born infants, small children, and pregnant women. It was disgusting and offended me greatly. Mostly because it was obvious they were using this shock crap to try and disguise a god awful movie.

I agree! I HATED that movie! I felt dirty watching it.

Another movie that I thought was disgusting was the movie "Seven"...

That's true, but I do think it was a clever way to 'fill up' the film. If they had jumped right into the hand held camera footage the effect might have not been so profound. But I'll agree that the footage from the slaughtered expedition team is the best part of the film. Still, despite its flaws, Cannibal Holocaust is an iconic cult/exploitation film and certainly the best of the cannibal films made in the '70s.

Visitor Q from Takashi Miike. Actually drug my wife to the theater to watch it. Good lord, incest, necrophilia and shooting milk, not a good date movie. I've actually stayed away from his movies since but I do want to see "Sukiyaki Western Django".

Dead Alive (also known as Braindead) has a lot of disgusting moments. Some rotting flesh falling off into soup, lawn mower blades chewing up through hordes of rotting flesh in a giant fountain of blood and gore. Not exactly a dinner movie.

Dead Alive.... What a great movie... I remember seeing this back in the day... I knew it was gonna be a great flick when they started chopping off body part where the monkey bit them....

My vote for a bad movie is "shivers" this movie is so bad it's like 90min i'll never get back..

Reservoir Dogs. When Michael Madson cuts off that police officer's ear, I about vomited. To this day, I cannot listen to the song, "Stuck in the middle with you" due to that scene.

ah yes, Showgirls
