Left for Dead Online Splitscreen XBox 360

This is probably a dumb question, but I'll be damned if I can find a straight answer online. Hopefully someone here can help me. My gf and I like to play online together, and I'm trying to find out the exact extent of this game's splitscreen modes before I go buy it.

I know you can play two player splitscreen coop offline. I THINK you can play online coop in splitscreen mode (ie, my and her splitscreen and two others online) like Halo 3 for instance, is that correct?

Finally, is it possible to play splitcreen versus online? Can the two of us, on one tv, join a versus game with six others online?

Sorry if this is s dumb question, but after having lots of fun playing splitscreen online COD3 and Halo3, we got burned by COD4 (not that I don't still love it) and I want to be 100% sure before I go buy Left for Dead.

Thanks :bolian:

Yes! The game DOES support split-screen online multiplayer. I haven't tried it yet, but we were wondering that ourselves. I play co-op with the gf any time it's available in a game, and we're always wanting to play together online. The game is a blast to play so far, but I'm really looking forward to playing Versus online.

Seriously this is one of the things I really miss in Battlefield: Bad Company. It's awesome and I still love it, but I've had such fun with my brother with online co-op multiplayer in Halo 3 that it just feels a bit odd without it.

I think you can have a guest playing online, as I've seen people with a buddy with a (1) after their name. For example, I'd be online as Disgustoid47 and my friend could play alongside me as Disgustoid47(1), which appears to be a guest account.
