WOW...that was probably the BEST episode of Atlantis EVER. The last 20 minutes went too fast and could have been stretched out into another hour. But WOW. That was good,,,

Good idea for an episode? Yes. For being the love-child of CSI, The Sopranos, and Stargate, it was a pretty entertaining hour of television.

But was it a good idea for the penultimate episode of the series? No.

I feel like this episode ventured into TATV territory -- it was an interesting episode that just happened to come along at the wrong time.

I hope there's a nice payoff next week.

If it's a good idea for an ep. what difference does it make when it airs in the season?

Of course, they only got the announcement of the cancellation just prior to this episode.

Because it's the penultimate episode of a series that most of us have watched with some semblance of regularity for the last five years. I should think that the second-to-last episode of the series is better spent dealing with the characters we know and love than with skewed versions of some of those characters who live off in a backwoods bizarro universe.

Don't get me wrong; I thought this was an entertaining episode. One of my favorites of the season. I just feel like, for being the episode that precedes the conclusion of the series, the time would've been better spent if it was with the characters, universe, and story we've known since the beginning of the series.

I loved the ongoing fight between McKay and Zalenka spilling over to this universe, that and the goth poet Todd the Wraith, LOLZ!

Eh... that changes things. A little. I still feel like they could've done better than a CSI parody. Just my opinion.

I didn't enjoy it. I thought it was bad as a Stargate episode, and I honestly felt it was bad as a CSI knock-off. I may enjoy it more on subsequent viewings, but after missing nearly all of the season, this is not what I wanted to come back to. Here's to hoping the rest of the season is better when I see it on DVD.

I've missed a majority of this season, and I thought that this episode was great. It's sad that it had to be a stand alone episode as this would been a cool concept to run with for a show. A combo of CSI, Stargate, and whatever else, just too cool for me. I loved this episode, it was a fast paced episode than what they have had in the past, with that it maybe the one of the best episode of Atlantis (sorry to say that, but I think that it could be). If the show had moved like it did tonight, then I would've enjoyed the past 5 years. Now I'm not saying it's the best episode of the franchise as the honor goes to season 4's "Window of Opportunity", but this will go into my top 10. What enjoyable episode..wish they had more. :)

It isn't quite "stand alone" as you will see next week.

This ep was well above the average for SG writing that we have come to expect in recent years.

Well I really enjoyed this episode. After reading this in the magazine and seeing the previews, I was quite amazed. I have missed most of the season and was sad when they announced the cancellation of the series. I was kind of disappointed they did that right after SG-1 was over for not even 2 years yet.
I have to say through, this one was close to CSI through. Had the same type of look to it, even through it was Stargate. I think this was one of the best alternate realities to have seen through. Was there an episode in the season I missed that McKay mentioned of his team crossing over into the main universe? I just thought since he mentioned it to Shepard, maybe it was an ep.
Loved how Todd was being a poet through. LOL. Does anyone know what songs were played in this episode? I know the Manson one, just a few others I think I recognized but wasn't sure about.

I voted Good... Could have been 3 ZPM's, because it was really well-made (except for the silly "CSI" edits in the first 5 minutes).

But as others have said, I would have much rather seen this episode earlier in the show. This show deserves a much better & longer build up for the finale than just a freak occurance in an alternate universe that puts 'our heroes' in the original universe in jeopardy for the last 45 minutes. Ugh. Talk about lack of dramatic build-up.

Wow I loved this episode. One of the better episodes of the entire series. It's not getting much love though on the official Sci Fi Atlantis boards. Those posters tend to be younger and less sophisticated though.

I appreciated this episode on so many levels. The writing, acting, editing, camera work-you name it. If it were not the next to last episode I would have loved it even more. I think time and history will be very kind to this episode.

It really should have been a 2 hour movie. It had all the elements in place for that and would have been a good one. O well.

    One week to go :(

I'm with you, except for me it's not interesting at all. The only thing that would make it worse is having it on next week. Bleah.

Average. I don't watch CSI so the whole editing thingy just went over my head. Still, nice to see the Stargate creative team experimenting with different directing styles. I just wish it resulted in an better episode. I didn't find it interesting until Alt-McKay showed up.

And, maybe it was just me, but Alt-Keller was smoking hot in this episode.

Loved it. I thought it was a great story, and a nice change of pace and style. Would say it was the best episode certainly of this season. 3 zpms.

Yeah, it's like they picked it out on purpose instead of just something random.

This was a lousy show last night I didn't like it at all.
