Now that's a Fire!

One of the Soldiers I worked with brought me back an Arby's sandwich for lunch. It was cold. I went to warm it up in the microwave, but didnt have no papertowels. Me, like a dummy, listened to the Soldier (who happens to be a senior sergent) when he told me, "The foil wrap is microwaveable safe."

Well to cut the story short, he was wrong. Not only did it burst into flames, but it burnt the inside of the microwave and warped part of the plastic on the door and toasted my sandwich. I didnt know fire could spread so fast inside a microwave.

I was so hungry I still ate the burnt aluminum tasting thing, then was sick all night.

What the hell is wrong with you people this week? Microwaving metallic wrappers, heating up soup cans, washing clothes with dishwashers....:rommie:

I have to ask... how did it taste?

I get far too upset at wasting food. A former friend referred to me as the 'Joey Tribiani' of the group. But Matt LeBlanc didn't get as fat as I did...

Oh, he was right, just not about what you think. I'm sure he made some money off the bet with his friends though.

I switched an old microwave on without anything in it once. It started rocking and jumping up and down, by the time I realised what had happened and flipped the switch off at the plug the inside of the microwave was a charred mess.

What did happen?

That happened to my Uncle Ken one time. Coincidentally, I happened to be standing there leaning up against the counter with my back to the microwave as I talked to him. Suddenly, he said, "Excuse me a minute. I have to put out that fire." :rommie:

Then one time I tried to heat something up in my old microwave, but apparently the protective coating had worn off the back of the chamber. I got some nice pretty fireworks.

This thread is scaring me. I have had some freaky dreams lately about microwaves. I will put something in the microwave and the door will open while it is still going...this exposes everyone in the room to radiation and we all start dying really painful awful deaths.

I believe microwave ovens do, however, kill Cylons. :p

You're right.

But the question is, how does he taste afterwards.

We've *got* to install microwave ovens - and custom kitchen deliveries. We've got to move these refrigerators, we've got to move these color TVs!
