Ugh. That's so sad. It's a terrible way to go.
Poor Majel. She will be deeply missed.
Oh this makes me wanna burst into tears. I really loved her computer voices in the Voyager series..especially in the ep "Q2" when she had a personality! 
This is extremely sad news. I hate for anyone to loose someone close to the holidays..I didn't know she was ill at all. That's extremely sad. She will definitely be missed. She's now up in heaven with her husband Gene looking down on us fans..*sniff*

I already paid my respects in the GTD thread, and I realise that she only 'appeared' on VOY as the Computer Voice, but one of my all time favourite moments of Trek is during Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy, when the Computer gives pointed warnings to the Doctor.
"Warp core breach in 30 seconds."
"Warning. Warp core breach a lot sooner than you think."
"Warning. Last chance to be a hero Doctor. Get going!"
All in her deadpan computer voice!

That's the exact scene I thought of when I heard the news. She will be missed.
Apparently there was a memorial held yesterday afternoon.
