Star Trek 25th Anniversary $ Judgement Rights

Anyone remember these old games??

For me, I've never had as much fun with any other star trek game as I did with Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rights.

I wish that style of game would be updated with modern graphics. Had so much fun with those!!

I liked Judgment Rites. NES 25th Anniversary was pretty fun. Gameboy 25th Anniversary was frustrating, and I know that because I happen to have been playing it over the last couple of days.

I had 25th Anniversary for PC, NES & still have the Gameboy version.

The PC version was pretty cool for it's day. The NES version was a pain in the ass if you didn't have the appropriate issue of Nintendo Power. The Gameboy version can be frustrating if your reflexes aren't quick enough. That being said though, I routinely cheat with a Game Genie in that game to give myself infinite shielding and torpedoes.

I had Judgement Rites too. That game was great up until the 4th mission when I got stuck. :(

The 25th anniversary was the reason i bought my very first PC way back in 1993, a massive power house of a beast running at 25 MHz with a 40 meg HD and the sonically challenged ad-lib card.....I remember reading a review of the game in Ace(Anybody remember that mag), and i was blown away by how great it looked, and the CD version was also the reason why i upgraded to a CD-ROM drive.

Both games in my view were the start of the glory years of Trek gaming.

Well, I'm a Game Designer. Maybe one day I can get a license to develop my own Trek game. It's not like I don't have some good ideas... [/evilsmirk]

I remember getting stuck in Judgment Rites and getting so frustrated. Turns out I needed to stand in the direct center of the Klingon Courtroom. WTF!

I still have my Mac copy of Judgement Rights somewhere in my stack of CDs from back in the day. The book that was needed I lost long ago. I'm glad I'm not the only one who got stuck on it though. I eventually printed out a walkthrough for it off the "new" internet that was just hooked up at my Jr. High back in the day, and spent most of the Christmas break folowing it to get through the game. :)

I knew I was in a Star Trek episode when I got a red shirt killed by a large rolling rock that I loosed by hasty use of my phaser. The musical cues were perfect.

Have both..and play them every now and again...when I first played them, I'd often leave them alone for a week or two just to get a fresh mind on the puzzles..completed both of them..and they are still fun..several times I've tried to get the LOWEST score and still be allowed to complete the game...

I miss these games a lot. I had a few including the 25th anniversary but it seems the Trek games I've seen now are basically shoot em ups in space.

I've still got it - if I could get it working again I'd be in a good mood for the rest of the week.

Yeap, those music cues were great whenever a security guy got torched in the game.

PC 25th Anniversary was my favorite Trek game ever. It got the whole "exploration, conversation, wonderment" thing down cold, whereas nearly every game since has revolved around combat, which just doesn't quite work.

Gameboy 25th Anniversary was the first video game I ever owned on the first video game system I ever owned... and it was ridiculously hard to beat. :P Never did get past the third beamdown...

Well I played 25th back in the day, 5 1/4" floppy version. Still have it kicking around in its box somewhere.

And JR on CD. If you're going to track down these games, CD versions are a must.

There was really something cool about the "mini-episode" feeling of these games. They're definetly adventure games, though, can be frustrating as hell in places.

But the Spock/McCoy banter is worth it.

I have to say I was so thrilled when I first saw screen shots of the then "upcoming" 25th anniversary game in Computer Gaming World.

I could not believe how awesome it was and then the CD-ROM versions
made it 2x better.

those were the days :)

on my summer vacation I ripped the cd's to .iso images and use magic iso to mount them and run through dosbox and they run perfect!

I actually own the "25th Anniversary" NES game :D

That and the Star Trek The Next Generation game for Original Gameboy
and TNG "Future's Past" for SNES. :D Love em, alot of retro fun.

Love both games, although they surely stumped me quite a lot! Secret of Vulcan Fury was supposed to be an updated version.
