Dr. Keller's body is taken over by a cunning thief, who uses the situation to try and acquire advanced technology from Atlantis.

I didn't see a thread on this so I figured I'd start one. Not a bad episode, a bit too much McKay bashing but at least the girl was pretty.

Average. Been there done that.
I even predicted the ending, that that woman I cannot even remember the name of would die the instant they switched bodies back.
Nevertheless, it could have been an Above Average or even a very good episode if they had a better guest actress.
The way she acted was pretty bland. She also should have been written a little more over the top. Think evil Vala... well evil-er, and they would have nailed it. Also her two cronies should have been a lot dumber.
Then the ending would have been a lot more satisfying.
Could have been comedy gold.

Im glad to see that Im not the only one who thought the actress was terrible. The only acting skill she had was the "stand there and look around scared with shifty eyes look" Thats about it.
The other thing that bothered me was her accomplices reaction when she was telling them detailed personal knowledge that only she would know. I mean how far of a stretch is it in a universe where you walk thru a "Gate" to another planet for someone to be switching bodies? And the I dont believe you and Im just gonna kill you thing was just stupid...
Is it just me or has SG:A just given up trying to further any story arcs. Its like they said...Lets just write a couple of stories that have very little to do with SG:A and use these characters in other stories...

Poor. I actually liked the thief better than Keller and was kind of rooting for them not to switch them back. Keller just sucks the life out of everything. She tripped over a branch. Let me repeat. She tripped over a branch!

She's an incompetent retard who ruins this show when everyone else has to worry about her because she's an idiot. Don't touch shiny things in Janus's lab, Keller! Pick up your feet when you're running through the forest, Keller! If you've spent two days in a thief's body and your "I'm not her" defense didn't work on your executioners, it's not going to work on the accomplices who rescued you. So pretend you're someone else and don't stand there wide-eyed and clueless, Keller!

Not to mention that when Vala and Daniel used the device and went to the O'ri galaxy, it didn't do a Freaky Friday thing, they just inhabited the other people. I don't remember villagers running around SGC in D & V's bodies.

Sorry for not getting the thread up earlier, was at a church Christmas play last night with family.

This episode was predictable from the very start, once I saw her look into the mirror I thought, BAM, the Ancient device that Jackson and Vala used, so it was no shock to see that was the reason here. I was hoping for a bit more mystery about what happened, maybe some new form of technology not yet discovered, like one of those advanced races we have been hearing about in the Pegasus galaxy, oh well, potential lost there.

The resolution was also predictable, I knew they'd switch back, and I knew she'd get shot.

I think it would have been better (since we are at the end here) to have them NOT switch back. It should have ended with the real Keller getting shot there, and have this new person stuck in Keller's body! That way they could still keep Jewel on board the show, but she'd be a completely different person inside. Then they could explore this new person's growth, a reformed killer, now turning good and helping the Atlantis team with her knowledge of Ancient artifacts all over the Pegasus galaxy. She could help them search out new devices and she'd be much more confident than Keller ever was out on the field. It would give Jewel a chance to do something different and do some real acting.

Potential LOST.

And like Anise, the new Keller could then hook up with Ronon.

I can't remember, but weren't they passed out on the SGC end?

Ah... an episode that highlights one of the big reasons I'm still watching the show:

The ever-adorable Jewel Staite. :luvlove:

Where do you get *any* idea that someone who has killed many people -- and cruelly, apparently, judging by the magistrate's lines, and robbed and so on, has any DESIRE to reform?

I am really sick and tired of these eps that have Keller getting caught and running thought the woods needing to be rescued does Carl Binder have some sort of fetish for having blonds tied up in woods.

Better than I thought it would be. Did like the dark ending with the thief getting shot in the end. It might have been somewhat predictable, but given Stargate's past record of letting people get away/escape, it was a welcome change. I've noticed that Atlantis has had a lot of darker endings this past season.

The way she acted was pretty bland.

So...she completely captured Keller, you say. Sorry, I kid. I kid.

She also should have been written a little more over the top. Think evil Vala... well evil-er, and they would have nailed it. Also her two cronies should have been a lot dumber.

Nah...they we would have been unfavorably comparing her Larin from "Travelers". And I actually liked the fact that the cronies were intelligent. It would have been such a cliche if they were stupid (and we'd be bitching about it here if they were dumb).

Keller just sucks the life out of everything.

As demonstrated when the moment Keller left Neeva's body, Neeva died!

Dang, I'm on a roll tonight and I'm not that much (anymore) of a Keller-hater. :p

Honestly....who doesn't?

Sort of like the last few episodes of Angel, when Illyria took over Fred's body. The ever-adorable Amy Acker got to stick around and Illyria was a fascinating and kick-ass character.

Despite this being a Keller-centric episode, I have to rate this one Good.

It was surprisingly well executed even though it was predictable. Nice throwback to SG-1.

I guess I was entertained without being bored, which is more than I can say for most SG:A these days. Lowered expectations I suppose. :p

Would have liked it better if they didn't do the cliche "No body was found" bit at the end. I don't have to see her shot but I'd have preferred if they clearly wrapped it up and said either they found her body or the body of the black guy so that you knew for sure what happened to her. Maybe if the show had another season I wouldn't care but since they only have like 6 episodes to go I would prefer for loose ends to be tied up.

BAD

One straight outta the sci-fi show cliche book. Episodes like this make me wonder why they didn't can the series 3 seasons ago.

Isn't this the same tech they're talking about being fundamental to the new Universe series? Wouldn't that make this episode all about reminding the viewers about the tech so it's in the fore of our mind for the new series?
