Welcome to DS9 avatar contest 99!

READ THE RULES:
This contest runs on a bi-weekly schedule (more or less). So a contest usually starts on Tuesday morning and the entry period ends on Wednesday evening. The voting then begins right after and ends on Monday evening. In case we don't have enough people participating, I might extend the entry period by a week or so. Lately the schedule has been far more flexible.


The winners of last week's contest are:

Marie1 won the Episode contest (Tribunal)

I won the Theme contest (Humor on DS9)

There was a three-way tie between Marie1, Nerys Ghemor, and myself in the Random theme contest (Girl Power!)

This week's Episode is To The Death from season 4. The Theme is Kickin' butt, and the Random Theme is The Silver Lining (Pick someone or something you don't like, and portray it in a NICE light. Not "backhanded compliment" nice... sincere nice. Find that silver lining in them and show it to the world!).

AVATAR RULES

The Theme must be DS9 related, while the Random Theme can be from just anything. The avatars have to conform to board rules: Up to 140x140 px and up to 70kb.

You've got at least until Tuesday, December 16th 8am CET to enter your avatars. Have fun and congrats again to the winners!​

If I thought Jem'Hadar would actually do such a thing--look at the expression on the guy in the background. It's very easy to imagine he's rolling his eyes!

LOL!! Yep... or an unspoken question "Can I throw him out an airlock this time?"

(I'm reading something right now thats making me rather bitter towards the Vorta...)

I'm kinda working on an avatar, but the picture that I want is a) hard to find in good rez, b) don't look as impressive in still frame, and when its 140px..., and c) is so spread out that it can't be cropped... but I get such a kick out of it... Jem'Hadar are awesome...

On the note of "kickin' butt" while I was looking for pics to use for that avatar... I think they used a Jemmie stunt double in By Inferno's Light... *shock* The stunt looks different, and younger... with prosthetic masks you'd think they could make it less obvious...

Oh the girl that beat up Kira is from Kafka IV. They said it was a pleasure planet.

I just watched that clip.. she really decked her bad, and then rubs it in her face later. Kira is in obvious pain, and she asks "are you all right" in as patronizing a voice as possible, then suggests that she not do that again (try attacking her) lest she wouldn't want to hurt anyone

It was funny yet so sad!! I didn't even think that whaterface was fighting that well... I mean in theory they could put women on a "pleasure planet" through some self defense... I just kept expecting Kira to hit her back and she didnt!

It was an embarrassing fight for Kira! Like I said most amusing is the way she just drilled her into the deck (Kira seemed KOed by the second hit, but was hit three more times) , and then rubbed it in later
