Anyone get what I'm saying here?
Hint: Notice the blue path continues after the time jump...

Yeah. OK. That works for me, too. Again, thanks to my comic book geekery, a Star Trek multi-verse is also something I can live with. After all, we already have the Mirror Universe.![]()

As I've said before, good story; good characters; I'll forgive a lot.
The ultimate point is, I don't need to have JJ and Co. "admit" anything. I can see the evidence. It's an all-new Trek. Define that as a reboot, remake, or what have you. As an old school Trekfan (42 years and counting), I'm fine with this in principle.
Gundam went though several reboots. So did Batman. It wasn't so bad for those shows.Because they've gone through a very elaborate, and tedious, song and dance about how it isn't a reboot and that "there's a canon explanation for everything". At this point, it's looking like that "canon explanation" is that canon has been wiped out.
In short, JJ and Co. have been lying through their teeth about what they're doing from the beginning, and they are continuing to lie to us every time they trot out this "not really a reboot" crap! Not only is this blatantly dishonest, it's also disrespectful of the fanbase to such a degree that, had he tried this crap in the not-too-distant past, there would've been protests outside the Paramount gates with JJ being burned in effigy.
What I really find dismaying is that so many so-called fans are not only okay with being lied to, they're actually applauding this fraud.
Sadly for me, I saw the thread on the cop, and what it is and isn't. And then I saw the title for this thread, and saw "Admit it's a ROBOT!!!"
I'm trying. I just wonder when a fictional universe became constricted by religious dogma. Hell, even Doyle couldn't remember where Watson's war wound was (he said, alliteravely) and as near as we can tell, he was the only author of the original Holmes ... canon (Oh, God, I said it).Do I hear some sensibility here?!?!![]()

You have Abrams to thank.
It's all part of the new movie's advertising campaign![]()
Lego Trek?
Fantastic.
Like I said before I don't care if it's a reboot. It looks like it's going to be a fun movie and I'm happy Trek may be popular again.
Yeah, me too.
@to somebody else and not Kirk-Fu :
Honestly, where do you get those informations that make you think that "Enterprise ISN"T built in Iowa" ? Did TOS TV series and movies confirms that? or it just come from a novel / data books / technical books or something?
