From TV.com:

House and his team deal with a bullied girl who collapses during her school's Christmas program. Meanwhile, Foreman and Thirteen grow closer during the Huntington's disease drug trials, House gives a patient a gift, the staff wonder who gave House a special gift, and Cuddy gets an unexpected gift.

House Medical Reviews

Let me guess. It has nothing to do with the bullying...and it's not Lupus either.

"I wanted to stalk you at home, but your door was locked and thelights were out. And your office is closer." (sic)

I swear ... Cuddy gets almost as many good lines as House anymore. EXCELLENT!!!

Dianosis of alcoholism at 8:30? nope that can't be the answer.

(I kinda like Cuddy's bangs)

And thank goodness we're getting back to the clinic patients!!

I am enjoying the Foreman sideplot. He isn't exactly my favorite character, but this bit about 13 and the drug trial and his treatment techniques is very good.

House has so got to be playing at something with the unmarried expecting couple!

WTF? A spontaneous pregnancy? :wtf:

Nope. We saw that one coming, too. Far too many times we've thought "maybe House really is amazed or sensitive or humbled." only to be proven laughably wrong later.

And 13 and Foreman..... not much of a surprise there either. But, it could be fun especially if House ever finds out.

Cuddy adopting the baby.... I liked that. Call me gullible or easily manipulated, but I liked it. :)

I like Cuddy adopting the baby as well, but my rational mind (my husband and I looked into adoption) tells me that the mother's parents, after the initial shock, would change their minds before the adoption could be finalized. They were loving parents with a teenaged daughter who died. No way they wouldn't want to raise her child. His parents, I can buy it. They wouldn't want their athlete son's future derailed. In real life this would be heartbreak waiting to happen for poor Cuddy.

Yep. Right on both counts :D

I did suspect that the kid was pregnant well before House and Cuddy thought of the baby angle. I was close, by three weeks.

- Excellent. Or is that 'Wilson's Disease'?

- The bit about the immaculate conception was pretty cool while it lasted. And yes, that woman was hot. The actress' name is Bitsie Tulloch. It was nice to see her again. I first saw her on a short-lived series called Quarterlife. Anyway, back to House... The pregnancy-by-toilet seat thing was funny. I've used that one myself. Now what happens when she finds out that it wasn't immaculate conception? Doctors can't make up stuff like that without consequence can they? :vulcan:

- Lori Petty did a fantastic job playing a woman with Huntington's disease.

- Not enough Sherilyn Fenn. What a waste. :scream:

- Too bad the girl's gonna die, at Christmas time too.

- Cuddy was channelling House and did the stuff at the end that he'd normally do.

- The part with Kumar being the bully was a great twist.

- The ending with Foreman and 13 came as quite a surprise. Sort of. You folks have been speculating that this might happen haven't you?

I don't understand why the girl was going to die. Cuddy said she had liver and heart damage (interesting that this time around Cuddy got the "aha!" moment). The liver can repair itself when the body is healthy and seems to me for the heart the girl could just get a transplant, no?

Of course. House makes an effort to be nice, and is confronted with clinic patients who outright deserve to be insulted! Naturally it was obvious from the get-go that he was scamming them about the virgin birth thing. Even before he came out and said it, it was clear from his totally out-of-character shocked and subdued reaction when he first looked at their test results.

I loved the Sherlock Holmes allusions. Joseph Bell, author of the antique medical book Wilson got House, was Arthur Conan Doyle's inspiration for Holmes, and thus the indirect inspiration for House as well. (Or perhaps partly a direct inspiration, since as a doctor, House is closer to Bell in some ways than he is to Holmes.) And we even get an in-universe acknowledgment that Wilson recognizes the Holmes parallels, not only because he got the Bell book (and candle?), but because of the yarn he told about "Irene Adler" being the woman who got away. (Adler, of course, was the one woman who ever bested Holmes. His befuddlement with her is often misinterpreted as a romantic interest, when it was really more of an inability on Holmes's part to reconcile her existence with his misogynistic worldview. Kind of like how House is bewildered when a person acts in a fundamentally decent way that doesn't fit his model of the world.)

Glad Cuddy finally got her baby, though it was a bit contrived how it happened. I also loved it that Cuddy got to be the one with the "aha!" moment.

One problem I'm having with this show is that it's reached the point where every character speaks in the same voice. They all talk like House now. It's an endless parade of sarcasm and characters cynically analyzing each other's every word and action. It's still an entertaining voice to listen to, but one could wish for a little more variety.

Kutner said that the transplant board turned her down.

I rated the episode good, but never want to see it again. I just can't watch episodes with mothers dying in/from complications of childbirth.

And I would have loved to beat the shit out of those little bitches from the school. In real life, they would have been expelled for their little prank. I hate bullies, and teenage girls are among the worst. A friend of mine in high school attempted suicide (she was nearly successful) because of hateful girls like the ones in the episode.

Cuddy is not going to get to keep that baby. The parents lost their only child- they would change their mind and want to keep her baby.
