Who Would You Pay $300 Per Person to See?

I've been following the ticket sales for Robin Williams' new tour, and I'm amazed at how fast the tickets go and how quickly they're scalped for three or more times their original value, even in this rough economy. The cheap seats for the Fox Theater in Atlanta are $150 per person at best, and the good ones are as much as $350.

It's fascinating how any celebrity can command those kinds of prices. I can't think of anybody I'd pay $300 per person to see, but I know others can. Which leads me to my question: who would you be willing to pay $300 per person to see live onstage, and why?

No one person in particular at this point, but I;d certainly pay that much for a Super Bowl ticket. I'd need at least two though.

I would have paid that much to hear Clarke or Asimov speak when they were alive; possibly even Heinlein.

No bands or comedians, though; unless the $300 bought me a time travel trip back to Woodstock.

There are some dead celebs I'd pay that kind of money for...

Heath Ledger doing... anything.

Jack Lemon and Walter Matheu together again.

John Lennon.

Living celebrities?

Can't think of one.

I was extremely lucky in getting to see Simon & Garfunkel in the '03 tour in Albany. A friend's sister worked for the Bank of America, who had a season box and gave the tickets to their employees. She got 2 and gave them to her brother and I.
I could have gone otherwise, but the cheap seats were $70 as I recall. Still have that ticket stub somewhere...

$300? Nope, sorry. Not even for David Bowie.

Ric Flair vs Ricky Steamboat, if I could see them in their prime.
That would be something to see

For me, I would pay $300 to see the LA Lakers play in the playoffs :D

In all honesty, I don't think there is a concert out there that I would pay that kind of money to go see

Sporting events, there are plenty
OU vs Florida
If I could get a pair a good seats for $300 each, I would love to go!

ppv? or will you be there live?

Live, I'm going to see Raw (and probably ECW) taped at The O2 in London on April 20th. Cena's going to get a one-man booing committee. :D

My sister bought me a ticket for my birthday to a Smackdown show at the O2 last month for my birthday. I wound up a few of the kids sitting around me by chanting for Kozlov all the way though his match with HHH while wearing an Edge t-shirt.

I paid that (£70) to see David Tennant and Patrick Stewart in Hamlet at the RSC, and approaching that (£90) to see Patrick Stewart in Macbeth in the West End. Meatloaf was on stage near me a few months back and his tickets were £90, which is what, something around $150. In the end I decided against Meatloaf. I can't remember exactly how much the theatre tickets cost, but I think they were around about what I've said here.
Shoulda' gone to Meat Loaf. One of the best shows I've ever been to.

I don't recall exactly how much I paid, but it was into three figures to see William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy (the second time). And I've easily paid more than that for trips to conventions, though it's been a long time since I went to a con to see a particular guest.

I might have considered going to see Buzz Aldrin when he was here last year - I think the tickets were around $300. But a) I was going to be in Atlanta the following weekend and couldn't justify the expense, and b) I'd already seen him speak, a few years ago.
