I'm glad Nick and Starr won, but this season was kinda average. I didn't even realize it until now, but they did tend to do more with Cabs than in other seasons. I hope they find a way to bring back the navigation aspect to the race too, even though with the economy and the amount of money to do this show, I can understand their reasons. When MsWood said something about Nick and Starr not doing very well navigating, I actually started wondering how they would do in a previous season.
Still, they did have the benefit of this season and some stupid racers and I do think they are one of the most dominating teams in recent AR history. So glad Tina and Ken didn't win. Tina was much more annoying last night than before and I am shocked that Ken decided to stay with her. Run away as fast as you can dude.
Something I was wondering was is there a reason why they don't show the times at the final leg to get an idea of how far behind second place and third place was. It would have been interesting to see how far behind Ken and Tina were, and really interesting to see what the Frats were up to since they weren't heard from again when they arrived to the memory task.

I wonder if their passport issues prevented them from getting back to Portland in time for the finale.
They got their passports back the day after so they probably had to wait while the rest of the race went on and just couldn't make it to the finish line on time.
Awesome! Great to have another fan of travel porn here! If you can, watch some of the previous seasons, especially the first few, that's when it was at its best IMO. I love TAR, one of my great interests.
Yeah, cause that would have revealed who made it into the final 3, they probably had to go o "vacation" for a little while.
I would have assumed that the losers of the second last leg would leave with Phil and his crew for the final pitstop, but because they had to stay in Russia, that wasn't possible.
That's all this show is - an excuse to watch pretty pictures of exotic locales.

"Porn" isn't even the right slang term, in any case. Don't recall ever seeing anything remotely fleshy, provocative or sexy in thirteen races.

It's meant to be ironic because the function of the show is essentially to create wanderlust.
Another example are car magazines/Top Gear which some people call car porn. Do most people really need to up on the latest F1 cars, Ferraris or whatever other brand that's exotic? No. But they look at the pictures as if they were pornographic.
A female-centric example are bridal magazines/fashion magazines - fashion porn.

I actually don't really care about the travel aspect. I couldn't care less if they were only travelling around California. I guess that's why I liked the family edition when so many others didn't...I didn't mind at all that they were only in the U.S. and I actually preferred it. I watch the show for the same reason I watch Survivor, which is for the team interactions and the interesting personalities that pop up.
I call it travel porn, and I'm a big fan.
I probably wouldn't watch the show if the world travel weren't a part—the race itself is cool, but it's the exotic locales that sell it.
I guess I'm the opposite. For the most part, the people are forgettable but the tasks will always stick in my mind.
