It took people a long time to get used to me with my short hair, even though I had only grown my hair out for about 9 months.

I was the same. I was labeled 'Corporate Tyler' for a while. Or 'The Marine' by friends in England who insisted on saluting me on sight.

The odd thing was that the last time I tried to grow it back my boss would complain and tell me my job was in jeopardy if I didn't sort it out. When I took a weekend off I shaved it (with a mohawk for the weekend - I figured it was my last chance to try the look) and was issued a formal warning.

Needless to say I had a hissy fit.

Yes, that's piping. They were stretch jeans. One of my all-time favorite pairs of pants, but they were ruined earlier this year when they sat wet in a hamper and became mold-infested.

As for the 80's resurging, I've noticed a lot of leg warmers and stretch pants all the sudden around LA. Those jeans however were about 7 years old.

Yeah, my long hair was so annoying, but I missed it so much when it was gone. I might have to grow it out again, just to play with it...at least before I start going bald!

I used to have quite the massive wall of hair.

I also used to make faces for the webcam, as the kids were prone to do in those days.

There's a family picture of my two brothers and i that was taken one Christmas years ago. We look nothing alike. I'd say that we aren't related, but we have the same basic personalities and tempers ...

Well then your mom's genes seem to be really quite powerful. My dad always said that his genes got weaker with every child he had. My oldest brother is just like my dad. My older brother takes after both my mom and dad equally, and i totally take after my mom.
