I have chronic sinusitis. Any doctors in the house?

Finally. An explanation for months and months of:

Sore neck/shoulders
Severe sinus/dental/cranial Pressure
Dull pain behind eye socket
Throat pressure
Seasonal Asthma/reactive airways
"fully" or "clouded" feeling when it's bad
light anxiety when neck/shoulder pain is bad

After seeing a few doctors of the year, I've had a diagnosis of chronic sinusitis. The good news is, I can stop worrying about what all these different symptoms are. The bad news is, beyond antibiotics when it gets really bad seasonally, there isn't jack shit I can do.

Any doctors with some advice on how to relieve these symptoms?

IT'S HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE! The doctors are lying.

but don't take my word for it.

LOL, my blood pressure is 120/80 and I'm 24 years old.
have you tried oil of oregano? i too was having sinus issues and did some research and this stuff is really good. it helps with sinus problems, stomach ailments and has anti viral, bacteriel, and fungel properties. all you need is a couple of drops a day in any liquid. you should start seeing results within 3-5 days. you can get it at any health food stores or gnc. hope this helps you. get better.:techman:

Have you seen an ear/nose/throat specialist? I had chronic sinus infections, and doctors just kept handing out antibiotics. Finally, I got to see a specialist, who did some scans, and found out that my sinuses were malformed (long story) and needed surgical repair.

It was a simple procedure, and I went home right afterwards. I may get a sinus headache once a month--if even that often. I used to get them every F***ing day, and the pain was terrible.

I've just ordered some oil of oregano online at Amazon. I'm going to try it out because I just read somewhere that someone took some and their cold cleared up right away. Sounds like Ambrosia itself. (and I don't mean the custard Ambrosia  .)

I have the EXACT same symptoms/diagonsis. Here's what I do to manage:

1. Have you had allergy tests? I have mine done every 3 years (allergies change)

2. I take a daily antihistimine (extra strength Reactine, which used to be prescription, but it now over-the-counter)

3. I take, during allergy season in the spring/fall, a nasal spray that has a steriod base. I currently use a prescription spray called Flonase.

4. I have two asthma puffers, one is a steriod based one to strengthen my bronchial tubes, and one for emergencies that dialates my bronchial tubes. They are also prescription meds.

5. I avoid my allergens (for me, it's cats, dogs, dust, pollen, ragweed, flowers, strawberries, milk, perfumes to name a few ;))

Best of luck figuring all this out! It took me most of my life to get me where I am today with my symptoms mostly under control :)

Get a Nettie Pot or a sinus rinse. That will keep the mucus from building up.

I have been having sinus problems as well..been getting a bad sinus headache almost every night and it's been bugging the crap outta me. I might try some claritan or something over the counter for sinuses to see if that might help.

Since I've entered the room, for the last year following a nasty cold/infection, my sinuses seemed to have suffered permanently. I frequently experience post-nasal drip. It's just a morning thing, but I also can't smell like I used to. Perhaps this sort of complication is more common than I wish to admit.

Try using a nettie cup with some warm salt water to clean out your sinuses. Works wonders for me when I am having allergy problems or a cold...

YES. This is exactly what I advise.

I will warn you, though, that a lot of US-based sites do not fully explain what you need to do to get your nose dried out enough afterwards so you don't aggravate your symptoms instead of helping them. You should read this site as well, in detail:
