^^ He he, with me it's the opposite. I hated my old driver's licence picture with glasses but no choice although I wore contacts. I gave them a picture with no glasses when I had my IDs replaced. (Got my wallet picked years ago.) Now it's my passport photo that looks ghastly because you're not supposed to smile. :(

It looked like fun, Ruaidhri! :bolian:

What are you, about +5 or so?

The last eye exam I got (+4.75 both eyes, plus some mild astigmatism to which I don't remember the numbers for) the guy said it's considered a medium prescription. I was thinking "Screw you, I can't see shit." Ah well, at least my vision can be corrected to 20/20.

I am currently -3.75 left, and -3.50 right.
Oh yeah, nearsightedness is minus... I'm -4.75...

I was trying to guess your prescription based on the distortion. It looked a little stronger than mine. It's probably the angle that made it look stronger instead of weaker than mine.

Anyway, this is what stuff looks like without my glasses:

It would probably take a few hours of photo editing to make it exactly right, but this is close enough. I can see colors and shapes, but not a lot of detail.

That looks pretty accurate for my eyesight (or lack of :p) too! I can't remember my prescription, I need to get them tested again.

It's amazing how good you can get at recognising different people by the blurred shape they make...

Hey, Kommander - since you have an astigmatism too - what's your night-sight like? For me as soon as it starts to get dark, my vision goes like a badly tuned TV - like with interference across the picture.

Wow, from your lens refraction I expected it to be worse. (I'm -7.5, but I don't think my lenses are as bad as yours--I've got the expensive kind, though, and they're smaller than yours as well.)

That's it - next time you start a thread about not being able to find a boyfriend, I'm going to remind you about how cute you are. :techman:
No kidding. Looking very good, Yoshi!

This is me, after a pot and a half of coffee:

For some reason, your smile reminds me of TorontoTrekker's. Whether that's a compliment or not is up to you, but he looks pretty cute in the pics he posts. ;)

My vision is so damned good I can read the tags of this thread on an old 17" CRT from eight feet away. :D
Show-off!

Hasu, stop being so hostile towards friendly compliments. When I posted pics last time, I didn't even get a comment! :p
You are a sexy, sexy dude?

Neither did I. And I posted one only a couple days ago.
Your sexiness is rivaled only by Alidar's?

^ I think I am going to take that as a compliment. That way I dont confuse myself. So thanks :)

You're adorable, Hasu, and I don't lie about anyone.

Alaedhros, I have the low end specs, with the basic lenses. Dell insurance wouldn't cover anything higher than the basics, so that's what I got. My old glasses had the very highest material and were wafer thin. Something along the lines of $900 in spec technology for $110. Too bad I couldn't get that deal from Dell.

I can see fine in the dark. I've had to wear glasses for nearsightedness since I was eight or so, but the astigmatism is new. I don't notice any difference in night vision between before and now. The only thing I notice is with my old glasses walls look like they're bowing inward slightly. I notice it a bit even with my current glasses, which makes adjusting the truss rods on guitars a BITCH! (More so than truss adjustments already are...:brickwall:)

Apparently, the prostate cancer group does a thing where men grow mustaches in order to raise awareness (called Movember), and my college and specifically, my dorms decided to do something with this. Well, to be the nice, supportive RA, I clipped my goatee off for the first time in almost a year and a half.

Feels strange to feel air on my chin again... I think that as soon as this month is over, I'm getting my goat back!
And now... we have baby-faced archeryguy before I start working on my goatee again:

^English setter, 11 years old.

She tries so hard to catch squirrels. She stalks them for hours if we let her. She gets really close too, because they've learned that she never pounces (her breed has a defect in decision making so that they freeze and point out birds to the hunter rather than chase them) so here she was stalking the squirrel, and it decided to ignore her and be friends.

You look like a very young Brian Posehn

I was deleting excess files in my computer the other day and I found a whole bunch of pics from about 2 years ago I had completely forgotten about. They are kinda dark and almost gothic looking but still cool. I plan on playing around in photoshop with them later....

dont remember if I posed these or not...

As much as I don't like posting pictures, a friend wanted to see my hat, so what the hell, I took it, I'll share it.

I got bored last week and grew a beard too.
