Problem with my digital camera

I got this digital camera from a friend a couple years ago and I never had a problem until recently. The batteries keep draining really fast.

I purchased kodak digital camera batteries to see if that would help and the problem still persists. It seems to getting worse. I recharge the batteries and within 20 mins of putting the new ones in....the red low battery light starts flashing.

Its a Kodak easy share cx7530. Its an older model but its been doing just fine for me. I really dont want to have to buy a new one becuase I really cant afford it but....I think its crapping out...

any advice? :(

If you have a multi-meter, you could check the output voltage of the charger. And it seems most likely as opposed to something going wrong with the camera.
The part of the charger that plugs into the wall usually says what the output voltage is (in VDC).

Since that makes little sense to me I will ask my dad to do that....

How old are the batteries? They can only be charged so many times, then they start to behave the way you describe.

when the low battery light flashes, does the battery actuslly die or keep going? maybe the sensor is malfunctioning.

This is probably likely as well....

The batteries are like....5weeks old. The red light flashes but the camera doesnt die...not right away anyways. I get maybe an hour of use.
